To all those proposing McClaren for manager. We forget that he did break a monopoly in Holland by leading FC Twente to the league title. He is a decent manager with good experience and is also doing a reasonable job with Derby. But nonetheless if Martinez were to go (which I think would be unlikely unless we suffered very heavy defeats) l'd still prefer Bilic. What do you eds think on that.

{Ed025's Note - not a bad shout emerald..

I'd also prefer Bilić because he was a former blue. Can't be forgotten about how he screwed the club for money when he played here though, but if he were to become manager, I'd hope he would be more mature in his role, and make amends for what he did when he played here

Bloo

I agree billic for me aswell klopp only 25 to 1 but not going to happen

McLaren was laughing stock @ Boro not 4 me although think he did win silverware whilst in charge more than what moyes managed in 11 yrs @ Goodison.
Jury is out on Martinez if the hammers knock us out the cup the crowd will let him know their feelings & if city turn us over on sat then I think he's history.

Jonsey

The crowd has to be the extra man.sing our hearts out and let our boys in blue know we are behind them.

I'd take Hoddle. Sure he's a little barmy but he's a good coach, tactically astute and plays decent football.

Pod

{Ed025's Note - i rate him as well pod..

Nobody mentions Laudrup. He would be my 1st choice. Did better with Swansea than Martinez and Rodgers. Plus he is a name that can attract top talent

Laudrups a nob, one season wonder, many of his tactics off the field, letting players have 2 days in holland (i think holland) to do what they want before a game. Making spanish players sit together, arguments, lots went on off the field with laudrup, not doubting his footballing ability but as a manager, i'd rather moyes than laudrup.

{Ed025's Note - there are not a lot of people you do like though swan..

True, but its more to do with our fans loving mediocrity, its either mediocrity or unrealistic, mclaran or klopp, cleverley or matuidi, long or costa (before he signed for chelsea someone said we could get him for 15m). There is never bang on, they either want mediocrity or solidity because they are scared of crumbling, or something silly which we have no chance of. But back to the point, laudrup would be a big mistake
