Just to add to a few posts on McGeady, Personally thought he was very good prior to his sending off. It was a poor decision to go to ground. but it was a bit of a dive. I feel that clouded fans opinions on his performance. a as a fan base we love to have a whipping boy. ossie, Naismith, Joel, Coleman. Now McGeady. He's only had a year. Naisy is the best example, I still believe he'll come good.

But Naismith was a forward being played on the wing, Mcgeady is a winger being played on the wing. There is no comparison or excuse for him being this bad

That's a fair comment Swan with Naismith but it's confidence with mcgeady. I used to play a lot of football on the wing and was a confidence player myself. When things aren't going well you end up trying to do so much and make it worse and nothing seems to go right, and I didn't have 25,000 Fans moaning at me.
The guy has a lot of potential, so much pace and can beat a man for fun when he's on his game.

Honest blue

True point swan, but like HB said confidence is clearly an issue. He shows glimpses and works hard, just needs more consistency. He probs had no confidence after being left out in the cold at spartak. Then he has a preseason with us. But its an absolute shambles. A few managers have said he has all the qualities needed in a winger. i'm willing to give him at least till the end of the season. doesn't matter if its Aiden McGeady or Per Krodlup, they'd still get my support in a blue shirt. Okay maybe Krodlup is a bit far. he was really bad.

At the start of the season he scored a good goal against Leicester then a good goal for Ireland if confidence was a factor then he would of been on fire after this but no he was a load of dog turd because that's what he is

{Ed025's Note - bit harsh that kingy...though i did laugh mate..

But I'm sure Naismith was low on confidence and grew when he was played in his position, mcgeady is already in his position and is 28, there is no way an increase in confidence will change anything.
