Why tinker with a the goalie position; robles deserves to keep his place. Never thought I be saying that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. Go with the hot hand. We need to use the rest of the season to test the young talent. we can get to the top half of the table, and who knows with Europa.

Let Garbutt know he can get a game here. Get Barkley out there, whether to get him experience or showcase him. Keep Lukaku out there, play Oveido left mid with Baines or Garbutt

Yes a top five is gone, and there are at least 3 super awful teams that will get relegated. So use the rest of the seasion to prepare.

Perhaps Tim will end up in Atlanta or Orlando next year where I can catch a match, and perhaps Everton can pocket some change selling him.

I keep saying we should give Barkley a go up front. His strengths are: he is a big strapping lad, quite a bit of skill, he can shoot, dribble, go past defenders and turns well. All needed for a decent center forward. His weaknesses are: he fades in games, makes wrong decisions when under pressure and gives the ball away when taking too many on.all things you don't want from a midfielder. but matter less up front. It would improve his development and not harm the team at the same time.

it would harm the team as he won't score and the only player he's beat is arteta (who my granddad could run past), him upfront would be terrible, he can't hold the ball up and can't shoot, unless its over the bar.

He either needs to be sent back out on loan to learn by his mistakes or knuckle down in training and watch video's of how to create space with movement off the ball, in fact spend the rest of the season studying David Silva.

Are you talking about Barkley or Lukaku swan? Could be describing both.

Im describing rossthenotsoboss barkley mate, lukaku is annoying but gets no service, and he gets less service playing with barkley, who just shoots. Barkley hasn't got the intelligence to be anything like silva, he's just a big weak dope that thinks he's elegent on the ball because he can shoot with his weaker foot into the stands.

Funny you saying that bluegray87.as I read Swan's post I was thinking. he could be talking about Lukaku not Barkley. Swan, I can't see how it would harm the team. 1. at least the positions where he would lose the ball would be further up the pitch 2. he can't do any worse than Lukaku at present 3. he might just learn how to hold the ball up. But my crystal ball is obviously not as good as yours.

Point being though degsy is he shouldn't be losing the ball, I was one of Ross' plaudits last season and defended him by stating naivety and lack of first team opportunities as the reason for his mistakes. Got to agree with swan on this one he offers little to nothing going forward and I believe he fell into the trap of believing his own hype. Don't get me wrong there is potential but he needs to realise that sooner rather than later and maybe a stint on loan to a championship club could just help the way Colemans stint at Blackpool did.
As for Lukaku he needs to practice staying onside and using his strength although I do agree with the little to no service which is frustrating to watch so could imagine how it would be playing that way.
We need to sacrifice Barry and play with 2 up top and actually look like we are going into a game looking to score.

It's a poor reflection on Barkley himself and on the Everton coaching staff that someone who was selected for England a few months ago cannot hold down a permanent position in Evertons first eleven.
