It boils down to this: we're currently on 28 points and we need to get to the magical 40 point mark and hope that's good enough. That means another 12 points, which could be done with 4 wins. We've still to play four of the teams currently below us - QPR (away), Burnley (home), Aston Villa (away) and Sunderland (home). The points are vital, but so is the need to keep these sides below us. If we can't do that, then we don't deserve to stay up.
Does RM have it in him to make our team get those results? I wonder.

{Ed025's Note - im sure you were thinking the same before the WBA and leicester games sid...once you are in the mire mate it gets harder, confidence gets lower and players are scared to make mistakes..

Ed025: I know that I've turned completely about-face from being an avid RM supporter to now being a thoroughly disenchanted hyper-critic, but what is it that has turned you against him, as at one point I'm sure you also thought well of him?
{Ed025's Note - i will be honest sid...i loved the guy..i have this terrible habit of seeing the best in people, i really believed his rhetoric and was a sucker for wanting us to be the school of science again, but even mugs like me can only take so much mate, it has got to a stage where i dont like watching the team, and i spend the whole game cursing and moaning incessantly, the enjoyment and magic has gone and its all down to this fraud of a manager..

Ed025: It hurts to feel conned, doesn't it? To the credit to those posters who didn't want him from the start, they're not giving us (the former believers) the "I told you so" treatment" - they're hurting just like every Evertonian and only want the best for our beloved club.

I think he swept in with his open and positive attitude that was a breath of fresh air from dour Dave, he then got us playing in a more confident style and all was rosy first season, however like teams that adapt this style they get found out, and as our season degraded he sailed on happily with the same style professing that things would improve, what has disappointed fans is that he has not realised the mistake and changed anything to get a different result!

Good point that Sid, do you think it is because the majority of those who didn't want him in the first place were also taken in during last season?
The couple of lads I know who did not like the idea of him when he was appointed, changed their minds during last season, now they are just concerned about the club like the rest of us rather than doing the "I told you so" routine.
