Those who think Bill Kenwright is wrong for the club.
You say you want a rich owner and there must have been good opportunities. Aside from City and Chelsea there aren't many good rich owners that have done any good. It's false belief.
West Ham (almost went under), Villa(fought relegation for the last 3 years), Cardiff(change the colour of the shirt to red, Imagine), Portsmouth (No words needed), Liverpool(we all know what happened), Blackburn(relegated), Leeds, Reading(relegated and never recovered), Hull(change the name), Fulham(relegated and saddled with masses of debt) and even ourselves(Huge debt, relegation scraps every season) to name but a few, have been a complete disaster.
There is no longer a need to go out and get a rich owner. Investors, yes but not owner. The money we get from TV is enough to give us the wage and spending power to take on most teams in Europe.
The stadium is the missing piece of the jigsaw for the club in terms of potential revenue which the club is addressing.
A new owner doesn't change anything except bring uncertainty instead of continuity.

Good point BlueJohnUns, Investment is vital to move forward, however, new ownership may not be. The question for us blues has to be what is better for the club?
Would you rather have a fan in charge who if nothing else puts the club first, or someone like Assem Allam at Hull who at the first sign of not getting his own way over the name change (Against the majority of supporters wishes) Throws a hissy fit and threatens to sell the club then states that he will "not invest a penny more in the club" Unless he gets what he wants?
If the choice is between Bill Kenwright or people like, Assem Allam or Vincent Tan Etc. be careful what you wish for, huge personal wealth of an owner does not always equate to stability for the club or what is best for it.

That would be a depressing state of affairs for football fans universally .
They are certainly not in huge numbers I agree, however as in ''Aside from City and Chelsea '' yes perhaps a rags to riches fairy story, the good ones do exist.
I believe they are out there waiting for the right deal, waiting for the right signals, perhaps waiting for BK to stand down who knows?
I don't for one and that's the problem here really isn't it, there is no hint of transparency at all! just waffle, Chinese whispers and spin.

I genuinely do not wish to offend other blues, but, those who still support Kenwright remaining in charge of our club, could they say where they see the devideing line between stability and stagnation. I know it shows my age, but can remember when Coventry city where in the top flight for many years, and each year they managed to stay up, they almost had an open top bus tour of the city, is that the hight of your ambition? Martinez has resently surrgusted that supporters have unrealistic expectation, well very sorry but your job, and that of the chairman is for everton football club to be compeating for the games top honours, year on year, do your job, or hand over to someone who can.

JCW100, That is a very fair point. From my own standpoint it is more a case of "the devil you know as oppose to the devil you don't." We have all seen the result of the teams mentioned in this and other posts who have had new rich owners.
Yes we do need investment badly if we are seriously going to move forward and not stagnate, and yes BK has made mistakes and perhaps is not doing as much as he could to find said investment.
On the other hand where is that investment going to come from? The majority of people who invest large sums of money in a business venture do so to make a profit, (and to most outside investors Everton FC is a business, they are not fans) realistically I do not see them making the returns they require.
So unless a genuine oligarch, and by genuine I mean someone who is willing to throw vast sums of money into a new stadium and the squad without financial return on the investment, just for the sake of owning a top P.L. team then we are going to struggle as most other teams outside of the so called top four do, whoever is in charge.

The club has not stagnated in terms of moving forward in it's infrastructure.
Since he has took over we have a new training ground albeit not owned, player acquisition is not even comparable compared to when he took over the club and as for finances he has provided £300 million in transfer fees in the last 10 years.
As for the stadium, hopefully we now have a chance of getting one with our latest venture but it is not as simple as sticking a post in the ground and start building.
The one thing he hasn't delivered which is the fault of managers and players is a trophy but it is not for the want of him trying to get success.
As for investors will want to be chairmen most clubs have investors, even Everton now. We just want more active investors not necessarily with funds but with ideas and time to invest in making things happen. Arsenal are a perfect example of how multi investors can make a club tick.
