To carry on the kit debate a bit, if we the fans were consulted on the design of the new kit what would you go for?
Based on umbro still being the supplier my choice would be a retro Latchford'esque design.
Royal blue jersey with a white collar and 'V' neck with white diamonds down the arms. White shorts with royal blue diamonds down the legs and plain white socks.
The away kit would have to be an all yellow version of the above with royal blue trim.
All we'd need then, apart from a decent manager and some heavy investment is someone who can cross a ball like Davy Thomas and someone who can put it away like Bob Latchford.

Nice memories there Rhapsody and a good kit too.
There is a good clip on you tube for our younger supporters when we beat Coventry 6-0.
The last goal is a class.

Have a few retro jersies and ro be honest if I was designing a new kit I'd stay well away from retro.id keep it modern.i think the retroesque jersey lcs made for us a couple of years ago with the big white collar, chest area was terrible.

How about a Dutch orange blue shorts away kit?

I wouldn't go retro, I'd prefer something more noticeable. Whilst the colours aren't suitable for us I remember the sudden change to Germany's kit a few world cups ago. The White kit with the national colours were the biscuit. I'd like a neat design on the shirt using our colours. As a footnote, though, Thomas and Latchford were a joy to watch, no shin pads on Thomas but he dribbled and crossed with ease.

Thanks for the video footage Ed, brilliant, when men were men and shorts were short.
Ps is that ed025 who runs on the pitch after Latchford's volley?
