Apparently we are among the top 15 most valuable clubs in the world? Bloody unbelievable given the state we are in at the minute. If this is true then how the hell can't this club get the investment it needs to kick on. No new ground, players on the cheap, no investment. Year on year it gets a little worse. While year on year we take in a little more. Where does all the money go? I have a sneaky feeling our board were all on the board at Woolworths after leaving Northern Rock.

Agree2 Disagree1

You say year on year it gets a little worse. We spent 28mil on one player last year. Brought in players like McCarthy and Besic the year before. We were as close to getting to fourth last season than we have since reaching it in 2005.

We've had a very bad season in comparison to recent years. Manager and demands of Europe the contributing factors.

Not through a lack of investment from the board. Get a bit of perspective.

I think the most damaging factor by far to this season was/is RM.

A team collectively doesn't usually go from heroes to zeros so quickly without some kind of undermining detriment at work!

BJ we have sold our training ground, have a stadium that is past its sell by date. A bit of cladding and a coat of paint can't hide the facts. As for the 28 mill spend, most of that was covered by Fellani sale, so actual spend was peanuts compared to those "smaller" clubs around us. 20 years and counting mate!

You're right about the stadium we need a new one. We are looking to do that still with Walton park. Thextraing ground actually costs less now to manage than what itcwas when owned it.

As for the fellani money. With signing on fees, wages, agent fees, loan fees, other player purchases we have spent more than double the Fellani money. Everyone thinks you pay a simple signing fee and that's it, when in fact the actual deal can, during the term of the players contract, be twice what the original outlay was.

Walton park won't happen. As for your theory on the training ground? Think I will sell my house and rent it back, the rent will be less than the mortgage so what's to lose?

The cost of running a training complex that is a non commercial activity for the club. In other words it doesn't make any money. The maintenance and running costs are continually on going.

It's not quite a house mate.
