Right as this is something that is bubbling under with a lot of blues right now i'd like to know if any of the kenwright/board supporters can give me any facts or actual reasons why Bill is a good chairman?? Facts not opinions. Facts as to why I think the board are rubbish are:- No trophy in the boards tenure. No investment in the boards tenure. Lots of failed investment N.T.L, Fortress Sports (that didn't even exsist) Poor sponsership deal, The worst kit deal in the history of any sport. 3Million a year for ten years, so no point buyin a kit because we don't get the money, No plan to move the club forward in any direction, i'd still like confirmation about Arteta leaving & now what looks like a 3rd FAILED stadium attempt.

That not enough for anyone??!

Im getting beyond depressed now.

It can only be about opinions I think Preki, in any given club there will be players, managers or board members that people like while others dislike. For me, and I've said it on here many times, the entire board should take collective blame. The fact to back this up is that the majority on our board have cash to burn, more so than BK, but don't want to put their hands in their pockets. It isn't enough to call just for one mans head, they should all go together. I understand that people feel we have stagnated but we were left behind when the premiership was formed and that was down to the previous regime. The last trophy we won was under PJ's stewardship but his tenure was hardly a success was it? That man did take us to the brink of self imploding. Even if someone came in tomorrow and they had a few billion to waste, we would still be hamstrung due to FFP. This board has got the debt down but they are not wanting to make that final push whenever we get close to the top four. What do you want to know about Arteta leaving mate?

I'm not going to slate BK. But your points are hard to ignore. When he took on the role of chairman he referred to himself as a custodian giving us the impression he would step aside when a more suitable candidate came along.

It does look like that was all a bit theatrical and that he'd rather continue than step aside.

Spud, I would like the whole board out mate. We as a club have fallen very far behind commercially, this is due to the board, if we didn have the sky money we'd be finished due to failings of our board. Elstone said the other day everything with the walton hall park project is going well, we just have no money! Well, big problem then Bob!! This is the latest in a long line.
With regards to Arteta i'd forgotten but was with people who brought it up the other day. Leaked emails sayin a big player had to leave to satisfy the banks, moyes saying it, then elstone denied it. Echo had to retract statements it was in national papers and at the time was ridiculous for a club like ours. Pretty much this third failed ground debacle has done it for me & il organise the march!!

1. When he took over our club was almost bankrupt.

2. We had a team that you couldn't get a penny for.

3. Investment was and is being made in the team and always has done.

4. The chairman hasn't taken a penny out of the club since being chairman.

5. The club has one of the best images in football not only on how a club should be run but it's work with the community. That comes not from me but other chairman and Ceo's from around the EPL.

6. We didn't have the finance for the Kings Dock. We didn't get Government support for Kirby. They are trying now for Walton Hall Park so they are trying to move the club forward.

7. Our team now is unrecognisable from what we had when he took over and the value of that team is easily higher than anyone outside the top 7 in the EPL.

8. We have consistently been challenging for a European place up until last season for a number of years.

9. The club debt is now at it's lowest since before he took over. The club was £36 mil in debt when he bought it.

Last season was bad and we wait to see what it's going to be like next season. Other clubs outside the top 6 haven't spent as much as us and don't. They don't buy players for £28 mil or £15 mil and if they do it's only because they've sold half of the team to do it or put themselves in masses of debt.

We just need to adjust our thinking of winning the league and instead focus on what we can achieve which is similar to Spurs and Liverpool and that's trying to break into the top 4.

For the negative people just for a minute start to look for the positives. I feel the same about our situation but you can't spend your time dwelling on what we haven't got. For me I'm going to start looking at shoots of recovery and stop being a miserable-erm-Person.

Fair points John. And I get them. I just feel its time for change. i'm not demandin BK sell, there appears to be no buyer. What I do want is the people who have commercially failed the club for years to be replaced, if BK can't sell or doesn want to sell it is his duty to have the best people on the board. What has robert earl done for Everton besides get Justin Bieber some kits to play on his island? Elstone basically runs the club, he's failed, he is a yes man, look at the ceo's before him who walked and ask why they walked. Remember Trevor Birch? What other business would have 3 failed ground attempts have no business plan & continue to keep the same people at the top? This is a massive frustration now. Our only form of income is sky and matchday revenue( which we can't maximise due to stadium) everything else is used due to poor commercial deals. The blame for this goes to the board and BK for his poor or lack of decisions. Plus he apparently cried when we sold Rooney. I don't want that sort of weakness running our club.

''For me I'm going to start looking at shoots of recovery and stop being a miserable-erm-Person.''

Good luck with that one John.

Anyway moving on, BK appointed the ''majestic'' DM and whatever we say or think about ''the chosen one'' he gave us a surprising degree of stability and this stability allowed BK to consolidate his own position

However here we are stuck with RM a questionable manager at the best of times, who let's face it doesn't inspire confidence for future stability, which is something that BK is imho is poorly equipped to deal with and hasn't in the past under his tenure been threatened with this kind of uncertainty!

Reality check needed here before the rot sets in as it did with Whelan's Wigan!

We do need to be more ambitious with our status in the football world though, because to roll over (and I'm not accusing any Blue of this) and be a timid footstool feeder club and stepping stone for all eternity is not what Everton football club should be!

Fair points Preki. With regards to Arteta, the way I remember it is that he had the choice to stay or go because he wanted to play champions league football. He turned the gunners down at teatime on deadline day, only to ask for more talks at the eleventh hour. While he had previously held us to ransom for (a reported) 75k per week, he actually took a pay cut to join them. We had no time to bring in a player of quality to replace him. For this reason, I don't understand why fans still clap him, especially with the way some treat our current players! I could be wrong on the ins and outs of it, but that is how I remember it, others may tell me different.
With BK, I just wish the fans would stop using just his name, we both agree that it is the board at fault so, if people want to drum up a campaign then use the collective, not the individual. If BK stood down as chairman and the board stayed then we will still have the same problems as we do now

10 Jun 2015 20:31:40
To sum it up in real terms of today's PL if we can consistently finish 5,6 or 7th that's a result!

10 Jun 2015 22:24:08
I think in the main spud people use BKs name because he's the top of the tree, but you're right it is a collective thing & collectively the board have failed! I do blame them all & realise BK will be the last to go. I have no problem with him remaining as long as he has the balls to make big decisions. If I seen any sign of this I would support him. I just don't feel he will & judging by Roberto saying we don't have 28M to spend & the quality of players we are linked with this will get worse throughout the summer. As fans we feel this is a big summer, i'm already disappointed we're not getting a new gk. So if the expected (lack of) spending happens there is going to be bigger questions aimed at the board come September

10 Jun 2015 23:18:44
He is the figurehead and is there to be shot at but it angers me the others hide behind him. I'm not sure on the money front to be honest, I'm hoping they are holding back on cash as they assess how RM gets us playing in the first 10 or 12 games. If we get off to a flyer they might give him his cash in January. If we carry on faltering then I'm hopeful they will be quick to get rid and protect the premiership money they receive each season. The stakes have never been higher with the record tv deal making it imperative that we stay in the league. I'm not suggesting we will definitely relegation candidates, but if we do suffer a bad start, such greedy men will surely get itchy trigger fingers?

11 Jun 2015 09:00:13
How much does RM have to spend? Want me to tell you? OK, well I don't know. Spud? Preki? Wakka?

None of us know. The season is only just over. We usually spend a fair whack in comparison to teams around us and we will do again. we can't be going on about this already when we still have 2 and half months remaining of the window and haven't really started looking yet!

11 Jun 2015 15:07:33
You're right BlueJ, nobody knows except those who need to know. My point was exactly that, with the hope they don't throw the entire budget at him for it to be wasted and in case we get off to a bad start. But I do think they should be looking at potential targets already, they can't afford to have a day off in that respect. There may be 19 days left until the window opens but we can still agree a fee with clubs and terms with players, they just won't arrive until the first of next month
