A reason I believe Mourinho has come in so quickly is he knows he cannot compete next season when City, Barca and Real come in for him. He knows now is his chance to get him. Abramovic wants Chelsea as a self sustaining club, he will not let Mourinho overspend next season, I think he knows this is his only chance before bigger and more attractive offers come in for him. We have also apparently rejected 6m for Mirallas, that is hilarious, West Ham have no chance and if he does wish to go there, then that shows he doesn't want Champs League Football.

I think you're right Swan, definitely a reason why he wants him right away. Although, if we did look like we want to sell the lad, I would still expect city to join the hunt and turn it in to an auction of some sorts. Could do without it either way

John Terry is coming to the end. John Stones has the potential to be as strong and physical as Terry. but is already a better footballer with the ball at his feet. 20 million is a derisory amount when you think of Stones being around for the next 10 seasons. Works out at about 2 million a season in my maths! Derisory!

Stones reminds me of a young Rio Ferdinand so we are looking at the best young CB England has seen for a long time. That being the case we should expect an amount that reflects this. ie a record breaking fee for a player in his position 45M minimum. Degsyp is spot on Chelsea are trying to get him on the cheap as early as possible. If they do then decide to sell him they will more than likely make a decent profit. If they wait another year they will be in a bidding war with the big spenders.

If Stones is to be sold we will all be gutted.Let's be honest if he is to be sold,he should not go for less than 50 million.He will be a future England captain.I hope he stay's because he will be guaranteed first team football.Why not make him club captain now?

I just don't see stones going this year the club has said we don't have to sell. The player has signed a five year deal and said he is happy . If as expected he pushes on and gets his place in the national team he will play on the big stage next year and his value could soar .Swan is right mouriniho is trying to get a head start on everyone else but if he thinks he can get the most exciting English center half in a decade for under 35 mil he is having a laugh .He himself set the bar for the value of the modern day defender when he sold that joke Luiz for 50 mil so let's get real Jose.IMO we must keep hold as long as we can aswell as all are other young players it's best for them all to stay and try and progress together this season hopefully to the clubs benefit .
