RM came out with the statement,
"John Stones is the future of Everton FC'.
So if he goes then surely RM must follow?
As head of an organisation he will have lost all credibility and will lead a club with no future.

Cant blame RM Mush, if the lad wants to go then we can't keep him its as simple as that, old days are gone now fella, players have all the power, next thing you know he would be doing the Sterling sulk

I agree Murf but the manager (once again) opens his mouth and comes out with garbage!
If he had 1% doubt about JS he should really just shut up.
But to be fair he might be self assured and indeed Stones ain't going anywhere.

I'd love to see us hold our ground and keep hold of Stones.

If we don't need the money like RM is saying then why be bullied, the lad is on a 5 year contract.

Get this Ramiro Funes lad in and hopefully Van dijk from Celtic and let him rot in the reserves.

I'd rather that than desperately trying to find someone to spend £30 mil on last minute, it hardly ever works out. If they want him they can pay us £40M on 1st July next year.

{Ed025's Note - what makes you think we would get the £30m to spend mikel?..

I disagree murf, I think we can make him stay for another year at least! He is on a long term contract and needs to perform this season for a chance in the euros! So I say tell him to stay and to perform and he can go next summer, possibly for more money!

{Ed025's Note - good in theory smeg..

I see where you are coming from Mush, he certainly knew that there was a price that we would sell, but him stating he is the future would add more onto any transfer.

I would love it if we never sold him, been on the Chelski site and they are lording it over us mate, so up themselves its hard reading, basically we should be honoured such a great club as Chelsea are offering to buy our player

Absolute rubbish Mushy! Honestly people need to stop acting like children over this situation. What did you want him to say or do? A bid comes in for one of our star players, the fans want a statement and reassurance. What did you want? "Well John certainly is a great player but I doubt if we will be able to hold onto him the money is huge and probably the player himself wants to go to a bigger club" Fans like you would crucify him and demand his head, which in fact you seem to be doing anyway despite the fact that the club have tried v hard to keep the player! Seriously guys grow up and stop looking to blame all and anyone for what is happening. It's embarrassing!!
