Let's face it!! Joel, Oviedo, besic, Naismith, mcgeady, aren't good enough, championship players at best!! Embarrasing couldn't even put a pass together! I Know he's just come back from injury but if we're stuck with Oviedo at LB were in big trouble, rabbit in head lights come to mind,,,,

Agree apart from Besic. First game, a little tentative but made some excellent runs and passes. Problem is Booby (deliberate misspelling) tends to play the same players so when those that come don't look as sharp, it is because they lack game time. Besic and Deulofeu needed that game time and both will benefit from it.
2nd Half Mirallas and Deulofeu and Barkley showed how we should be playing. Just need to tighten up the defence and central MF and we'll be fine. You could see the Stones debacle affected some players, like Lukaku, but it looks like he is staying. Now for 3 GOOD signings

I think that MG has been a bit harsh. McGeady is awful and will never be good enough. But as for the others, Naismith will never be quality but has a lot to offer. He grafts, will score goals and causes trouble for opposition. Besic has potential but needs more game time, Joel was good with an extended run in the team but looked awful tonight, maybe a run in the team would do him good or a loan out,we could bring in an experienced keeper for the season, and Oviedo was great before his injuries. Maybe he won't ever be the same again, but it could just be rust after the various injuries he has suffered. Either way, we still have a difficult few weeks ahead of us, if not only due to fixtures.

Naisy was far better than Mirallas tonight. Take the blinkers off! Mirallas is still far too greedy at least Naisy plays for the team!

Naismith is an honest player and gives his all, BUT, he cannot pass wind never mind a football. Gives it away far too often and stops good progressive play. A worthwhile bench warmer. We need players like Mirallas et al as they can do something spectacular from time to time. When given the chance that is
