Sorry ed but yet again we have been fed rubbish am hearing we made a last ditch bid for yarmolenko but I think this is all made up to make the board look good and say they tried there best the defender was a must so they had to get him lennon as much as I like him do we need him no not really so much for a defender number 10 and a first team striker one out 3 is not bad just a bunch of greedy old men at the top

{Ed025's Note - these conspiracy theories make me laugh..you do know that all money is accounted for?, no one is lining their pockets as independent auditors make sure of that, running a football club requires a hell of a lot of money these days and we are keeping our heads above water, so please stop these fantasies or prove with evidence that your accusations are correct.....now i would have loved a playmaker and a forward but it wasnt to be, we tried our best for yarmolenko but were thwarted by the ukranian mafia so what am i going to do..cry my eyes out and give up on everton? or give my wholehearted support to the club and the players we have?...answers on a postcard..

Hi Ed I totally agree with you there is so much rubbish posted sometimes,we have kept our best players and in my opinion have bought in some good ones and once again many thanks for all the good work GuernseyBlue

{Ed025's Note - thanks mate..

Ed025: Well said, mate! I too would have loved to have seen some more quality players come to our club (and some other current players leave alongside Distin and Alcarz!), but I take the positives. We weren't bullied into losing Stones; we've got McCarthy and Mirallas on extended contracts; we've kept other good players like Coleman; we've brought in Cleverley (who's looked decent so far) and Deulofeu; we've brought in promising youngsters like Holgate, Henen and Rodriguez on permanent deals; and we've got an international centre-half in Mori. And it looks like Lennon - who did well for us last season - will join. So, imho while it's a pity we couldn't get the number-ten we wanted, I'm not devastated by the business we have actually done. Comparing the squad to before the transfer window, I'd say that it is stronger.

{Ed025's Note - it is sid, by no means a perfect window mate but hopefully enough to give us a good ride until january..

Spot on Ed. Some people think its monopoly money that gets played with. The amount of players over the last year that got tied down to improved contracts has bound to of put the weekly financial outgoings under pressure. Its a business and it seems to be run fairly well in my opinion. I'm no accountant but I understand the running of a business as much as anyone and think Bill and Martinez's approach to spending money is spot on. As for the board, as you said Ed all money is accounted for. Where people get the board is taking money is beyond me.

Agree ed, this mentality of the board 'pretending' to go for players is just plain daft. This site is getting very tedious in that every other post throws up more negativity, and wild accusations, you must be up the wall as you see more than me.
It's been mentioned time and again on here, by myself and numerous others, that we are in a better financial place than when PJ had us. Possibly the best stability we have had in the premiership era. People should stop taking for granted what we already have in place and stop with the grass is greener mentality.
