I somehow found myself in an argument with a Tottenham online the other day (he was saying Besic was 'awful'), and at one point he said that Everton we're 'an unambitious, mid table club' and I got very annoyed and argued vociferously in our favour.

Skip forward a week, and I can't help but agree with him. We are pathetic. We fell scarily last year and have made no effort to halt the slide. We NEEDED a marquee signing and instead we've overspent on absolute rubbish. No one knows anything about Mori, but I was reading something by someone who does and he described it as the worst signing of the window, regardless of the price.

January will come, we will be 15th, Stones will leave, and any of the players with any sense will see the clubs lack of ambition and will jump ship too. Now was the time to make a BIG signing to keep players on board with our vision, but that seems to only be as far as BK's bank account. Mark my words, We'll be back in relegation dog fights each season within a couple of years under this regime.

Martinez out, Kenwright out.

{Ed025's Note - oh yeah...because spurs really strengthened and are now a far superior team...do me a favour mate..

I'm really jealous of Spurs, the way they failed to get Berahino and continue to spend tons of money each season and still go nowhere.

That's some turn around in 7 days Ab! But that's a bit ott mate. Last seasons slide was more down to travelling the far reaches of Europe in a second rate competition. But you can't totally dismiss the previous season where, with mainly the same squad, we played extremely well. It's RM's 3rd season after having one good and one bad campaign, we will see how we are going to shape up come November/December. Until then anything is just a knee jerk reaction.
Nobody knows too much about Mori but Henry thinks he's a good player so I'll agree with that shall I? No, I will give the lad a chance to impress me on the pitch and make my own mind up about him. And so should you mate.
Why will JS go in January? He has been put in his place by having his request denied but, credit to the lad, he has got his head down and got on with it. Great attitude for a young pro, that ungrateful lad from WBA could learn a thing or two from Stones.
It's all well and good demanding a big name signing but it has got to be the right fit for both club and player, no use in buying an expensive player just to appease the fans.
One bad season in how many doesn't mean we will be at the wrong end of the table for the foreseeable future so not sure why you think that is about to happen. I'm still unsure as to RM and his methods but I believe the next 3 months will shape both his and our futures. If we hit a slump and fall down the league then he will have to go but if the opposite happens then the gloom can lift. Ultimately, it is down to Roberto to put his heart and soul into making a success of things or he will pay with his job. Cheer up Ab!
