Who out of them makes are first 11 any stronger , maybe deulofeu, just numbers rather than quality which seems to be the Martinez mantra, good forbid he never inherited a strong squad

IMO Cleverly and either del boy or lennon make us stronger can't comment on the rest until they have played

02 Sep 2015 19:42:05
there it is!

mikedeblue I know how dare he inherit a strong squad!, what was he supposed to do to get a bit of credit? Release everyone and start from scratch. Lennon improved us last year so that's already there. Cleverley has created more chances than anyone else in the team so there is number 2. Deulofeu helped us last time and won us the game against Barnsley. 3 out of the 3 first teamers there mike. Unlucky.

Also, even if you want to say none of those we bought in are first teamers, I'd rather have Deulofeu or Lennon on the wing than McGeady or Atsu when we had him, and Mori HAS to be better than Alcaraz. Cleverly has looked good so far and is a very versatile player. So while we may not have improved the first 11, the squad is looking a lot stronger. Although we sometimes criticise Martinez for his team selection and tactics, at least we now have strength in depth. Under Moyes, we often had a good first 11 but literally no one useful to bring on, with the likes of Jutkewicz on the bench to make up the numbers. At least now we have tactical options if the game isn't going our way.

Strange how youve become a cleverly fan to prove a point, fickle? One of the most pointless windows in around 5 years yet let's find a positive we never sold stones, if that's the best we can do I apolgise thought we aimed higher

03 Sep 2015 06:35:36
Again mikedeblue, my points have gone over your head like everyone elses do. I am not a Cleverley fan nor did I 'become one' to prove a point. How would that prove a point? He has done well, I already proved my points which you completely ignored to spoit more nonsense. If you cannot have a constructive debate with actual facts and/or an opinion on something that isn't just ignoring things to repeat yourself and make things up then this discussion is over.
