Lots of people on here after transfer deadline day complaining that we had spent 9.5m on a slow centre half.
Well, he didn't look too slow yesterday when he raced away from Diego Costa and had to be hacked down from behind. Makes me wonder which Funes Mori that divi Tim Vickery or people on here were watching!?

I'm not casting judgement yet but he did well yesterday. River Plate fans were saying he was quick and Vickery said he was slow, now we know who actually watched him regularly. Has a great leap on him too, like Jags he makes up for his lack of height with one hell of a jump.

Vickery is just another journo/broadcaster who has a love for all things southern or red and that's it.

Calm down aflm 78. I did express concern on spending £9.5m on Mori but I never said he was slow because I never seen him play. I know your comment wasn't directed at me or people who made similar comments to mine. It's the people that were putting the player down that you were talking about.
Still he only played what 10-15 mins yesterday. Hardly enough to see what he's like. He do well yesterday. I'm still concerned because Everton haven't £9.5m to throw around. He is the most expensive defender in the clubs history and has a long way to go to justify buying him. I never said he shouldn't be signed.
As I said here when he was signed hopefully he lives up to what is expected of him. Think everyone will be happy if he does.

NBTB I am not saying he is worth the money we have paid. Too early for that!
I'm just saying that he certainly did not look slow as Twit Vickery was saying and others on here who claimed to have watched him many times.
Think he looked good but will wait to see how he does in his first full 90 mins before I decide completely!

That's true Ed025 I just meant I want a good luck at him before I decide. Not necessarily just one game as I wrote. However, I usually think that after 90 mins I have an idea of what kind of player someone is, that doesn't mean that if he has a stinker I will decide he wasn't worth the money. But good players usually stand out form bad ones immediately!
{Ed025's Note - thierry henry was really poor when he first went to arsenal aflm, it took him a few months to find his feet and get use to the culture and the league..and he did not turn out that bad mate.. :)

I know what you mean aflm78. I like your posts and agreed with you a lot on here before, just don't want to see you give other people a reason to slate your posts. Thought you were kinda jumping the gun and there would be loads of people on here to tell you how wrong you were if Mori had a bad game. Get what I'm saying aflm78? Trying to have your back really 😉

i just like to say a lot on here bin sayin martinez signings not good enough for me in his short time here he has built a very exciting young team even kone is startin to prove he was worth the 6m bin really impressed with him say its bin tough for him so fair play mori also startin games for argentina now so he can't be to bad trust in martinez we must :)
