Mori nearly signed for Chelski a while back its being reported, no Euro passport scuppered that deal

Also new deal for Galloway, I like this lad a lot, could be another superstar

Ed things are going too well for me, this is Everton and we all know its never plain sailing for long, let's enjoy the run as we deserve it

{Ed025's Note - i know what you mean degs, but we have the quality to do well mate, if the manager picks the right team and the right tactics it could be a really good season..

Agree2 Disagree0

That may be the issue because let's face it Naismith should never have been on the pitch that early, I'd also like to say well done for him being honest about nearly leaving sick of these scripted answers that they all seem to give says a lot about the man

Youre right mike, ive been a supporter of naisy from day one, having watched him many times during his rangers career. I was made up when we signed him because I knew what he could do.Admittedly the prem is a different ball game, but it didn't help the lad when he was played on the wing, and the crowd getting on his back.ive lost count how many times I've had to stop myself from strangling some mouth behind me slaughtering him week in week out.One thing you will always get from naisy is 110pc even when he was on the wing, hes great in the air, and I would go as far as to say he's probably the best finisher we have at the club.Coupled with all that the work he does for charity both down here and back home is a credit to a top top bloke and I for one am glad he's still wearing the royal blue of Everton.

{Ed025's Note - i could not agree more jimmy, top player and more importantly a wonderful human being, total respect for the guy..

Spot on jimmy c, your post sums up everything about the man. Top pro and does what he can to give a little bit back to the fans, wish there was a few more that followed his lead from all clubs.

I agree with Ed above. If the manager picks the right team with the right tactics it will be a good season. I think we have a very good squad of players who can achieve success in some way. Maybe an odd addition here and there could bring silverware. Provided as said right team and tactics are picked.

I think to be fair (having been one of those calling for RM to leave (the Jury is still out)) I think last season was a big shock to Martinez ego, in my opinion he honestly believed some of the hype, when most of us just looked at the facts. This season he has started well and even his tactics appear to be flexible enough, obviously someone he trusts has had a word or he has clicked. It may even be that Staff have read our posts. ;-)

I agree duncansmum the jury is still out as I said many times before. I haven't slated Martinez but am not convinced by him yet either. I think at the end of this season we'll have a better idea of Martinez.

Putting aside the manager I said in my comment above that the squad is a good one. I'm impressed with the squad. Just hope they are utilized properly. Last season they obviously weren't. So far this season its good. Imo its the best squad Everton have had in quite a while.

Or maybe it's just that the tactics are the same as two years ago. but this year far more players are in form and playing well.!!
