Looks like we may have put a 45million price tag on Rom (according to ssn), that's him gone in the summer then, I know some fans don't rate him but I actually think he is worth more, 21 years old, scores at the top level consistently, massive potential too as he is improving all the time, if PSG buy him for that much then you can bet his wages will double at least, can't compete with that.

I know it's tempting but we need to keep him also his a##e piece of an agent isn't helping matters. 21 yrs of age and a bag full of prem goals we would be bonkers to get rid.

Sadly I can't see another Stones type scenario here, money talks, and eventually all players have their price. And there are enough clubs out there ready to pay it.

Why not make a stance like we did with Stones? I know I'd much prefer that. At least it would keep the dream going, eh Ed? As far as I know Martinez didn't sell anyone since he was here. Well first team regulars anyway.

45m for rom, I would snap there hands off, suarez wasnt that much, aguaero wasnt that much.

Your right toffeeblue Suarez cost Barcelona £75m, Aguero was around £35m. The main difference between the two of them and Lukaku is age.
Rom is 6 years younger than Suarez and 5 younger than Aguero. Who knows how good Lukaku can be? He certainly has time on his hands to catch up with those. Not saying he definitely will just pointing out it is quite possible.
Lukaku has plenty to work on but he's fantastic for what he's done at his age.
I agree Ed, if he really wants out what can we do. Wouldn't even give that leech a mention.

For the record I don't want to sell him. But as you say Ed if he begged and pleaded for a transfer what could you do. You'd have to allow him to leave. Be big boots to fill if he ever was sold.
Hopefully he doesn't look for one and the dream of building a team good enough for trophies lives on.

He can ask for a transfer yes but think clubs need to start being tough with these players, they signed a contract and if they go into this I don't want to play mode if you don't let me go then so be it then teams will see them in their true colours and play them in the reserves.
