As much as he deserves to keep his place in the first team, that's a bit of a deceiving stat. How many have been against premier league teams? He needs a run in the league before he can be judged properly imo.

He did bluegray, though some people still won't forgive him for looking uneasy when he first arrived. The same people I've noticed who still haven't forgiven Besic for that backheel.

It's not about forgiving him for a mistake, Swan. Some of us rate him and some of us don't, our opinions on every player will differ. He's had a few dodgy moments and a few good moments, he hasn't totally stunk the place out nor has he been on top form in all the games he's featured. People shouldn't be making him out to be something he is not until he has had a decent run of games. Then we will know if we're in the market for a back up or first team keeper. Can't see RM playing him Wednesday though, for some reason he prefers TH in league games despite the rest of us knowing he is nearly finished as a top flight keeper.
Got to admit that I haven't seen may complaining about Besic on here since he arrived, he is becoming more of a fans favourite if anything.

spudv, I mean across social media, still some fans don't like Besic. I did a post on Howard were I mentioned a couple of users (2 to be exact) who don't like Besic. One of whom doesn't like him because he's a fake hard man and the other thinks he's the worst player to ever wear a blue shirt. Both of which are without evidence.

Swan, sound thought you was just talking about this site. Not all of us that are unsure about Joel also dislike Besic. Besic is quality and still only 23, he'll get even better, I hope, with more experience in the league. The lad gets stuck in without doubt but I don't see him as a hard man. He's passionate and that's always good to see when foreign players sign. Looking forward to seeing more of him and Jimmy Mc in the same team.
