I've not posted for some time, simply because of all the negativity. It has become possible to identify certain posters from their first sentence and it is monotonous.

Regardless of what some posters may think, we do have a decent side, potentially a trophy winning side and yes we do have a decent manager who is trying to build a young side that will play the right way.

I accept at 2-0 up that we could've tried to control the game a little better, but it was Chelsea away and there were 35 minutes left. They were bound to come at us as they had nothing to lose. To our credit we got back into a winning position only to be denied by a clearly offside goal at a time when the players should have been half way down the tunnel.

I think all the players, regardless of whether they would be our choices and the management deserve immense credit for the way we have performed in the last 2 games. I for one am proud of them and will continue to be so if we continue in this manner.

We are all frustrated by today's outcome and no doubt the manager will get the blame from certain quarters, but to point the finger at the manager for an offside goal that was scored in the 98th minute of a 97 minute game is quite simply irrational.

As I said earlier we are not far off being a trophy winning side. The players can't do it if they feel intimidated by their own supporters. Let's stop the bickering and do what we are supposed to do, get behind them and support the team and that includes the management. Who knows where it may take us!

spot on.

Nowhere as the manager is ignorant, naive, stubborn and worst of all, arrogant.

Good post.

swan moyes was exactly the same, we all know you don't like him am edging that way but am saying nothing and getting behind the boys bud.

16 Jan 2016 19:23:28
Fair point mate. Think to many people have just got used to moaning all the time. Sad really as we are developing a really good team. And for all those Moyes lovers, that would have been given as a loss before we even played the game, so back your team ffs.

Good post shropshire blue
Sure a lot of negativity is from frustration caused by poor officials. We have a squad in progress, we can't buy instant success like others think they can. we build and hope that we can keep the backbone of the squad together. We always come across as the nice friendly team in the league that just accept what crap is thrown at us. maybe new ownership may market us better.

Now swan u can't blame Martinez for a goal that is two yards offside and 8 minutes into injury time. It wouldn't happen if the shoe was on the other foot at home . We must stick it out now have a decent chance to get to league final and please God an fa cup to b won as well. We can beat anybody on our day if we get fair play.

16 Jan 2016 19:42:17
I'm behind them all but it does nothing to help does it.

16 Jan 2016 20:21:53
we are all frustrated mate and rightly so we are just a few signings away and a bit of luck from being a top top side now bobby brown shoes ain't going any were for the time being now ill take a 3-3 at city in 2 weeks time I truly believe are fortune will turn very soon bud.

16 Jan 2016 20:45:26
What fortune though muff? Bar the Palace game we haven't been unlucky, dominated Liverpool, Bournemouth, Norwich and Watford but didn't win. Nothing to do with luck, we need a new manager and luck won't change him in to a good one.

16 Jan 2016 21:22:18
Not blaming him for a goal that was yard off side. But any so-called top side like ours should not be 2-0 up away from home and not shut up shop or at least make them play in their own half. Nor should a so-called top side give away leads consistently. This is supposed to be the best Squad we have had for ages and Roberto himself even said we will see in October how we are doing, well he saw and did nothing about it. We have now had one win in nine games. Come the summer we will lose Lukaku, Stones and god knows who else, unless by some miracle we are being taken over. I live in hope.

16 Jan 2016 21:41:46
Oh and not forgetting Roberto's post match comment. 'After we went 2-0 up the game became a little to open'. Now all you guys calling us whingers, what kind of a statement is that from a super-coach Manager.

16 Jan 2016 21:48:18
like I said he's going nowhere in mean time so no point in wasting your energy typing about it we all know how you feel and am not far behind you, Bournemouth was again added on time against us that should not of happened, am not making any excuses but the team are out there and experienced enough to know how to close a game down the players have to take responsibility out on the pitch it just isn't the managers fault its a team game, if we would of sat back we would of played into chelseas hands the fact howard made yet another howler was to blame for first goal and you telling me second gaol wasn't fortunate, now people are banging on about geri should not of been brought on well we wouldn't of got 3rd goal, now you mention all games above and fortune did play massive parts in us not winning them games . if Martinez starts playing defence football it will take a lot of are attacking play away what is he to do its a very very hard job to do we all have to come together to sort this out not just him, now I honestly thing this result will help us at city away like the Bournemouth game befor bourgh game stupid individual errors are costing us this season nothing else.

16 Jan 2016 21:50:11
even with a take over we will lose them mate, I even think winning a cup we will lose them.

16 Jan 2016 22:51:11
Stones is a young defender with great potential we can survive without him because if o e of them has to go for 50m then so b it. Lukaka not for sale at any price.
