Hi Ed can we put a stop to all this bickering about James Mc Carthy he is a very good player and does not deserve all of this nonsense but to read some of the tripe below by certain posters is ridiculous let's get behind the team instead of slating them all the time, GuernseyBlue.

{Ed001's Note - so you want people to all agree or not bother posting? Wouldn't that completely negate the point of discussing things?}

Agree4 Disagree1

GuernseyBlue, mate you are looking at this through blinkers. The Team is suffering because of one man and his choices. I for one choose to criticise the source and you will notice yet again the Club have thrown us dogs a bone in the hope our complaints will go away. To resurrect our season we have to win our next 15 games but at the moment it is difficult to see where we are going to get the 11 points required to hit 40. The guys ambition is summed up by his comments after Carlisle, a second division side were beaten.

I know where your coming from GuernseyBlue. Players and everyone do get too much stick here. Can get slightly depressing. A little more support and positive talk wouldn't go a miss.

Totally agree GuernseyBlue. Ed it's not about everyone agreeing and not debating - people can criticise all they want if it's valid and constructive. If someone has a bad game or Martinez sets his defence up so we lose at home to Swansea then criticism is needed.

The point is that, taking McCarthy as an example, this is a player that has been injured for the past few weeks ( which has incidentally been our worst run of the season) and he has one game back. Which we win. In which he has a decent game. And this board is filled with criticism of him!

It's the sort of aimless criticism and expecting the players to play badly which is having an effect on the atmosphere at home this season.

You just feel at the moment that we could beat Newcastle 7-0 tomorrow and people would be screaming at Martinez for using the word "phenomenal" and at stones for going on a dribble when we were only 3-0 up.

Debate is so important, but GBs point is that let's just not aimlessly criticise which is only bound to have a negative impact. We are supposed to be supporters of this great club after all.
