I honestly believe that if we loose the semi final, Martinez will be sacked. I think he will be gone at the end of the season regardless.

I honestly thought (hoped) there would be more in the media today questioning his position. Even though there isn't I'm sure 12th or wherever we finish isn't why moshiri bought into us and will do what it takes in the summer break to make us more competitive for next season.
We all said the teams around us strengthened significantly in Jan and that's showing now.
why did we spend £14m on a striker to not use him. 1 up front is not enough. 2 can create more options at least.

The only problem is how would the board view reaching two semi finals?

They may feel he is worth one more year? The issue is how much of the funds would they make available?

Dont know Wak, personally I don't think we will go any further in the FA Cup and it's not exactly as if last season was a success, also looks like the players are not interested (except Jags) , RM will be gone within 8 weeks mate that's my opinion, just get this season over and Taxi to Southampton please to collect a footballing legend for a one way trip to Goodison.

I think he's just realising now soldier blue that it's actually possible he might get sacked! Its stopping him in his tracks and he has to actually think about how to win games rather than his philosophy about how the game should be played with only plan A.
Although I don't agree with you stig about Kenwright! I do believe he won't be sacked. I said before I think he'll be manager next season and the pressure will be too much and he'll be sacked around the new year.
If we lost every game between now and end of season I think he may be sacked. Otherwise I think he'll be here next season. I maybe wrong wouldn't be the first time. I hope to god I am. Sooner he's gone the better.
Souness say what you want about him. Reckons we should be at least 6th with the squad we have. I think he's spot on and the majority of people think so. Even all the neutral's.

I said last week by next weekend we could be down to 15th. Then our run in is far more difficult than most teams below us. It could be 17th we end up in!

Yep Ed. I know I wind people up with my know it all posts. but I honestly believed we were making bad signings and the lack of goalscorers will come back to bite us in the bum if Lukaku goes. RM seems to like these athletic running footballers like McCarthy. Every team needs one. but to sign Barry, McCarthy, Besic and Cleverly when little creative midfielders like Pienaar and Osman are mearing retirement? I just don't understand it. I hear we are linked with Carrick? He is another. None of the above in total will score more than 50 total if added together for their whole careers. They don't get into the positions and when they do they are not finishers. How many times have you seen Cleverly pass the ball to the keeper whenhe is trying to shoot?
