Lukaku has said he's made his mind up were he's going next season. Who does this guy think he is. He should be fined by the club for all this talk to the press its so dissrespectfull. What would happen if the new manager comes in and decides he wants to keep him? After all he's still under contract and it will be the boards decision if he goes not his.

Alright mate, Chelsea fan here. Not sure why you're so shocked about Lukaku's quotes/ actions. He did the exact same thing to Chelsea when he left us and showed a lack of respect to the club and also apparently upset a few important people at the club. For that reason I certainly don't want him back. The money being suggested for him is ridiculous for someone with the first touch worse than my gran. He'll score goals but I get the feeling he wants to be the superstar of the team and he won't enjoy himself so much when he gets the chance for a top team. Don't like the man at all and I'm not surprised you're all angry at him.

{Ed002's Note - You clearly don't understand why Lukaku left Chelsea. Lukaku was forced out with teh decision being made six months prior to him leaving.}

The bloke has no respect for Everton football club, we put him in a team and made him what he is today, he might not be the finished article but then he might just be, He might be as good as it gets, Remember he's playing every week in a team where he's the only striker at our club, but in a so called bigger club with 2 or 3 top strikers he might find himself sitting in the bench if he's on one of his lazy days, once that happens it will be like being back at Chelsea, then once he's not playing week in and week out his form could dip and who knows what will happen, let's be honest he knows where the net is, but his all round game isn't that great.

Lukue and Stones my well wish to leave, but for treating everton as a stepping stone, they should at the very least be made to put in a transfer requst, thus forgoing their cut of the fee.
Everton are knoewones stepping stone, this should be made clear to any future signings.
PS. I know this might cut us off from some talent, but imho, we shoud not deal with any player represented by Lukak's agent, no principals and no respect for our club.

{Ed025's Note - all agents are the same JCW, cutthroats and leeches who prostitute their players to the highest bidder mate..

Exactly jlmcr5. I like Lukaku and am grateful for his goals with Everton this season. But I always felt especially in the second half of the season he gets too much credit. No doubt he deserves plenty of credit but some people go over the top praising him at times.

He can either improve and become one of the best in the world. He has everything going for him in this regard. Or he can stall and not develop any further. He will need guidance and help to keep developing. No doubt in my mind he would get that at Everton. Imho he'll do well to get as good attention at his next club.

Martinez imho relied too much on him. We don't have another striker worth mentioning this last 3 seasons. Hopefully Niasse proves everyone wrong next season and does well. All our hopes and set up play was worked around Lukaku up front.

I don't think this is a good system. You need competition for every place imo. Someone to keep the first choice player on their toes and to allow them to recover properly when injured.

If Lukaku leaves we need 2 good strikers imo. Having one made options very limited under Martinez which effected our overall results imho. Our whole attacking play was concentrated on Lukaku not good to have a player thinking he's the only option and that without him the team would be much weaker.

I'm a big believer in not putting all your eggs in one basket. 2 decent strikers should be the minimum for any team.

Rom's comments are a bit cryptic, but I think they can be interpreted in different ways, which is probably his intention, under instruction from his agent and his dad. It could be he's using the media to bait interest from other clubs, or to improve his deal at Everton, but his comments also don't necessarily distance himself from Everton. It was the same with Fellaini's dad when he was spouting off about his future. Maybe it's a Belgian thing. Hasn't everyone's dad said a humdinger in public that you can't take back and just have to grin and bear at some point? In my case, usually at weddings, congratulating distant cousins on pregnancies, when they're actually just a bit overweight, or at Goodison Park itself, such as shouting at players who left the club twenty years ago, or moaning about parking round the ground while everyone else is lamenting conceding a goal. Rom could just be torn with appeasing his dad, his agent and not actually knowing what he wants. If we keep him, I'd be elated, but if he has to go, we can probably get 3 decent goalscorers for his fee instead.

Hello ed don't want to get on your wrong side and obviously you know much more than me but I'm sure you've said on a number of occasions that staff members of Chelsea would need to be persuaded to bring back Lukaku as he upset him? Sorry if I am wrong though. However, whether or not I know the ins and outs of why he left I do believe he's shown a lack of respect to the club since he left and so I stick to my original statement that I don't want him back.

{Ed002's Note - The point is that he did not push to leave - Chelsea pushed him out.}
