Whoever comes in as our next manager will be an improvement.

With new investment, we are now being linked with top quality managers instead of average.

Whoever comes in, I would get rid of the money grabbing big headed prima donnas in Lukaku and Stones, get the best price possible price for both, bring in players who want to play for Everton, are prepared to wait a few seasons while the club is in transformation, but have a hunger to succeed at Everton and not jump ship when the going gets tough.

Things are looking up for Everton, anyone who doesn't want to play for Everton, get rid, Everton will succeed, I have no doubts, but only if they build a team who want to play for Everton, and not use us as a stepping Stone.

Bring back Rooney, someone who will at least play with passion.

Agree1 Disagree1

Bring back Rooney? didn't he use us as a stepping stone I for one don't want him back.

Did Rooney ask for a transfer, can't remember now, pretty sure that cash saved us too.

{Ed025's Note - he said he wanted the move degs, and yes that money really helped us out when we needed it..

sorry Ed I couldn't remember if he asked to go, was it really him though or the usual agent.

I agree and disagree Baz so not clicking any box, no way do I want Stones to go mate.

{Ed025's Note - probably his agent degs, but he would have to agree for the deal to go through mate..

Imho Rooney knew there was a strong possibility he would leave Everton before he signed for Everton. It came out that plenty of clubs wanted to sign him but he was having none of it. I know he was very young but he felt a duty to sign for Everton. He could of signed straight for Utd but instead he went with Everton and made the club a shed load of money in a very short space of time.

That money at the time was very important. If he had not signed for Everton and went straight for Utd before he exploded onto the scene people probably wouldn't give out about him as much. He's seen as a traitor by some. I don't share this view. He done the club a massive favour by signing for Everton first.

Yes he could of stayed but honestly and wholeheartedly can anyone blame him for leaving? I believe if it was today he would stay with the prospective future we have now.

Personally I can't see Rooney leaving Utd this summer. He's only 4 goals off breaking the Utd goal record. Provided he doesn't get a major injury he would be set to break the record in the first half of next season. Even if he isn't a starter in most games.

Then I think there I a good chance he'll come back to Everton. No doubt he has devotion to Everton. Going to the match last season and having his kids born in Liverpool. His kids wear Everton jerseys.

I know there is people who hold a grudge against Rooney. I obviously would of prefered if he stayed with Everton. It just wasn't to be and I'm glad how his career went for him.

{Ed025's Note - good post that NBTB..

As usual NB great post mate, even if he beat that record he would not be a Utd legend mate, that's what the fans think of him, I have a few contractors I work with Utd fans (and my gaffer) and they all think the same, money grabber, short memories there and surprising how little they like him, his love for Everton doesn't help with them though as they know it's just a pay day for him.

As you stated he could have left for nothing but didn't, and the kissing the badge was just a reaction to the stick he got off us :) , does anyone actually think he really loves Utd, they may try to ship him out before he breaks the record though mate as Sir Bob was a legend for them, also forgot then too until I read your post again, his kids wearing Everton jerseys, Man U fans really hate that ha ha.

Think about it like this it's one thing to love the club you support but everyone wants personal achievement in their professional life and at the time Everton were no where near winning anything how many of us can't understand why Matt le Tissier never left Southampton for a bigger club he would have had many more England caps more trophies and we would probably be talking about Le Tissier as one of the true lengends of the premier league era instead we think of him as a very good player who never misses penalties. I'm sure if Everton had been looking like we could be challengers Rooney would never have left so I don't really blame the lad for going he never said a bad word about us he just wanted success can't fault him for that.

{Ed025's Note - fair points them AL..
