Just watched Seamus' post match interview, poor lad looked heartbroken. Thought he 've across very well though, showing more maturity than his years suggest.
Have a good break Seamus lad and see you in August fresh and ready for a new era at Goodison.

He has captained his country well, could he be Everton's next captain?
He has youth and experience on his side new manager new captain, why not.

I think jags should remain our captain. Done nothing wrong to deserve to be stripped of it in my eyes. Gives his all in every game, gets stuck in and puts his body on the line when needed.

Sorry but jags isn't a great captain I think he's too nice, even though I hate it he doesn't contest decisions or have words with refs when every other club captain will harass the ref during games, I mean I even remember at goodison mark noble last season constantly in the refs ear and jags doing nothing to combat it, I've seen it many times. As I say I hate it and it was supposed to be getting stamped out but it hasn't and we're too nice/ easy to ref.

Jags is a very good captain. as for contesting decisions, didn't he follow the ref about complaining the ball was out against man city in the league cup 2nd leg. he may not be a baller and screamer, but his having a quiet word with team mates is just as affective I think.

Also, why should jags follow the nobles and Terry in harassing a ref it was ment to be stamped out. maybe jags just doesn't whine at every opportunity like others. his moan against man city was well justified imo.

I agree, I think Jags is a good captain. I do think he maybe needs to be a little more aggressive with players such as stone when he wonders off or leaves a gap but during the spell jags was injured we had Barry step in as Vice captain which I think is just as good due to his experience in the league.

I think Jags deserve to be the captain of Everton, as mentioned above he always puts In a shift and plays when he needs to. Plus she scored that screamer against Liverpool in the 89th minute or so a couple season back.

You have my vote jags!

I've had a ST in the paddock 30yrs mate and jags isn't vocal, I'm not saying be a Terry, if we concede he drops his head like everyone else, noble was a example he sprinted to the ref everytime a foul was committed, jags did nothing easy for the ref.

Dentie because it hasn't been stamped out that's my point, we're too nice easy to ref we don't get in the refs ear like others.
