Thought I would add a little perspective to our season so far.

After a quarter of the season gone we are:

6th in the table and above United who spent £157 mil in the summer

5 points off top spot

4 points off 4th place

Spent £47 million on players

£12 million more than any previous window

Received £47 million for a CB

In the process of improving our current home that will make it look the best it has for decades

In the process of finding a new home and for the first time have the money to actually go through with it

The opportunity of making a waterfront stadium a reality

A billionaire chairmen with an ambition to match those of the clubs fans

A manager that seems to have a plan B even if he doesn't quite have a squad able to perform it yet.

Patience people is the one thing we seem to be lacking but thing we will need the most of over the next 18 months.

How dare you be optimistic BlueJohnUns do you not realise we have just been beaten by Burnley 😂.

Burnley are no mugs at home. as the shower from across the park will agree. Good post blue John.

A great post BlueJohnUns.

We have had a poor run to be fair, but so have City and they are still tipped for the title.

And also admitting we had a lot of missed targets in the summer window only fills me with hope of a good January window and therefore a better second half to the season.

And you forgot to add in that we had just got rid of the man that was destined to take us to the Championship by signing players such as: Niasse, Alcaraz, Kone, McGeady and possibly a few others who although are not as bad as those above, certainly did not improve on what was being replaced.

Not sure we will be spending too much int the Jan transfer window but we are heading int the right direction both on and off the pitch.

Should have read billionaire director, my mistake.

Aside from that there is plenty to be pleased about. Some things to unhappy about as well but I'm more hopeful at this point than at any over the past two years. We gave Moyes 11 years to bring success and he didn't but this guy may just do it within the next three.

Good post BlueJohnUns. Future definitely positive.

Have to agree unfortunately we've been let down so many times that r patience is wafer thin even when we know things r definitely on the up.
