I wanted Koeman and still want him as boss but can somebody please have a quiet word with him as his statements over Lukaku last week and how impressed he is with our nearest rivals tonight.
You are the manager of Everton, concentrate on improving us, anything else is irrelevant.

To be honest Mushy I prefer has candidness compared to Martinez who lived in a land of denial where everything was sunshine and rainbows.

I don't mind what he said about Lukaku but wish he wouldn't mention the red lot. Moves done the same once and he got a bucket full of abuse for it.

Don't think it would be the same for Rom sorry Ron but won't do him any favours. What is it with names beginning with RO?!

Don't really understand why his latest comment is being vilified tbh. Any man and his dog can see he is just telling it as it is, them lot over the park have started pretty well. Even the most biased of blues has got to admit that. At this moment they are in a good position and must be taken seriously as title contenders. BUT we are only 11 games in, there is a long way to go and anything can happen between now and May. Besides, what are the odds of two small clubs winning the premier league one after the other :)

I agree Spud. I don't have any major issue with it but sometimes it's best to keep it to yourself or have a bit of diplomacy.

If he would have said "they are playing well and are a contender" it would take the heat out of it. You know what some blues are like. They will use this as a bat to hit him over the head with.

Personally, I've loved him so far and long may his candidness continue.

I see where these fans are coming from but, for me at least, it is all a bit petty. Would some be feeling the same way if it was, for example, Chelsea he was talking about? After the few years of our manager talking absolute garbage, I find it quite refreshing that our new man is a straight talker telling it how it is. As I said, we can all see that the reds have got off to a good start. It's not as if he is talking about them being contenders when they are in the bottom half of the table! He is only reiterating what every pundit or journo seem to be saying. Obviously, I'm not wanting them to win it but they have played pretty well so far. The other angle could be he is starting his mind games with Klopp a few weeks early!
