Besides Gana Gueye, the only other players in our first team that in my humble opinion play with anything like the right mentality (let alone consistency and dependability) are Barry and Williams - and even these two have their limitations these days.
I reserve judgement on long-term injury absentees (like Besic) until, they get a decent run in RK's setup.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stek: too erratic - pulls off some amazing saves, but also makes costly basic errors.
Joel; done OK at times, but just doesn't seem to be a top top keeper.

20 Nov 2016 17:41:57
Coleman: something's just not right with him in RK's tactical setup.
Baines: no longer the player he was - clearly misses having a Pienaar in front of him.
Oviedo; a great lad, but he's clearly limited
Jagielka: hasn't looked right for a while
Funes Mori: an Argentine international, so must have qualities, but how many Evertonians are convinced by him
Browning and Pennington: long term injury absentees, so still deserve a chance to impress
Garbutt: his loans only delay his inevitable permanent departure.

20 Nov 2016 17:47:10
Barkley: will we be still be waiting for him to deliver consistently in 5 years time
McCarthy; surely the player and club now want a parting of the ways
Cleverley: not a game-changer, but maybe a solid squad player
Gibson: best passer at the club, but injuries seriously limit him.

20 Nov 2016 17:57:12
Lukaku: without his goals we'd be stuffed, but he's not the great centre-forward yet
Bolaisie: cut out the attempted tricks, concentrate on bring productive, and use your power and pace
Mirallas: just isn't productive enough
Deulofeu; flattered to deceive for far too long
Lennon: honest hard-working pacy player, but is he good enough quality
Valencia: needs chance to show what he can do, but not that hopeful
Kone, Niasse, McGeady, McAleny and Rodriguez: do ny of these have any future at Everton.

Very fair and sobering posts there Sid. It's clear that you and other posters really care about this club.
I sense Koeman is frustrated. He was a top, top player and his goals to game ratio shame many so called strikers. He has a squad of limited abilities. Another poster said many of the squad are not buying into his project. Probably as they know they will be moved out.
I would have liked Davies and Holgate to have been given more game time. Koeman also misjudged the left back cover situation.
We need to hang in with difficult games ahead and improve in the window, given we are not every top players destination of choice.

Fantastic posts Sid. Very few players assessment I don't agree with. Only 3 really and I don't full disagree with them.

Coleman probably the most I disagree with. Imho we would find it extremely hard to find a better right back. He gets some flack I frankly don't know why. For me definitely in the top 5 consistent performers since Moyes left. Would be gutted if he left. How many better right backs in the premiership? Very few in my books.

To a less extent I disagree with Mori and Barkley. Mori by no means is a definite future centre back but would like to see him given more chances. He'll either turn out top class or bad imo. Too early to tell. I have to admit at times I feel nervous when he has the ball near the goal at times but I wouldn't disregard him yet.

Barkley could also turn out top class. Probably has a better chance than Mori but I also wouldn't give up on him yet. Definitely not. I think and hope he has a bright future with Everton. Fingers crossed.

I'm with NBTB about Coleman he has been up there with Gueye Barry and Williams in my opinion.

This is a just after a loss post Sid. It will take time for players to get used to Koeman system and time to get players into the club that fit the ethos.

Liverpool is a perfect example. Terrible last season and Klopp couldn't get them going. They lost plenty until he managed to get the players he wanted in the summer and they are a different team.

It was only a few additions but they have made the difference. The same is like that for most teams when they get a new manager. The others already there have got used to his system after 8 months being together and they start to click.

Our management team haven't had long to get things in place and probably why we seem not to be all on the same page.

It will happen but for us fans it's the same message. Keep supporting and be patient.
