Just a quick question for any of the Eds or anyone who knows, Changs sponsorship runs out the end of this season does the club promote itself to potential sponsors or do potential sponsors promote themselves to us. I myself would love a sponsor that we can have on infant kits as well as adults so they feel like the player on the pitch, any realistic sponsors fans would like?

{Ed002's Note - It is a mutual agreement that needs to be met so it is effectively a bit of both Lee. There have been further discussions with Chang but Everton are looking for an improbed deal. The other company they have spoken with would likely not be suitable for kids as it is a gambling business.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It does seem that until we become a better-known (regular Champions - or at least Europa - League? ) club that could attract a major international corporate brand as sponsor, we are having to look at booze, gambling or money-lending companies as the most lucrative potential sponsors. Anyone know any different?

Baarceelona use their shirts to promote Unicef. A very worthwwhile caause in my view. I don't exxpect we can do such a thing but it would be nice. I guess Barcelona are a bit wealthier than us already!

{Ed001's Note - they only did that to get the fans to accept having shirt sponsorship, it was not done out of the goodness of anyone's heart.}

Betting and alcohol companies are slowly becoming less popular due the junior shirt issues. So they might see us as an option given our need to come up with a deal far better than the one we had with Chang. I'd love a sponsor that could go on a junior shirt but it may just not happen.

{Ed002's Note - The driver will be the money - Chang, like most sponsors, want the profile of a club playing in the Champions League or at least in Europe.}

I couldn't agree more Ed. At the end of the day the best deal in money will be on the shirt, or not on the shirt if you know what I mean.

Thanks ed002 I know money will be the big factor always feel sorry for fans paying so much for infants tops that don't have a sponsor I'm sure Moshiri is looking into it as he's doing a very good job behind the scenes already.

{Ed002's Note - Moshiri will, I doubt, be concerned about the infant shirts.}
