Ed, according to reliable media sources we are very close to getting delay and Schneiderlen which willl be £45m + . We are after lookman for 11m and the guy from cska which. Would make anoth £25m plus a goalkeeper, CB and forward means we could spend £100m, is this possible we could buy all these players?

In your opinion how many do you see efc really recruiting in January eds?

No I didn't eds to be honest. I know janury is a hard time to aquire the correct player's. Personally I was hoping for 3 or 4 at a push and just wondered on your opinion.

Are we actively going for depay? Or is it because koeman says he likes him and was once untreated in him?

I'd be happy with depay, lookman and schneiderlin in January. These guys are actively available so we should get them for a fair price, and wait to sign a keeper and defenders in the summer. Begovic would be available in the summer and wouldn't break the bank. Any goalkeeper/ defender in January will cost us the earth and could end up as a panic buy.
{Ed025's Note - the thing is smit that everyone knows our situation and will be chomping at the bit to exploit things, they all know we have money and need players so they will be asking inflated prices and the players agents will be asking for stupid wages and thats the way it works unfortunately mate..

Well let's hope we stand our ground and walsh comes up with some bargains. Either that or the money we do spend however high a price, is a good investment, surely that's the main goal.

Ed does it look like Niasse will be going in January and if so do you know what price is being touted for him? Have we got much chance of getting our money back.

Regarding Ed002's comments about "sensibly" expecting Everton to bring in seven players in January, since when has any "sense" been shown in the modern-dy transfer market, especially in January? I also appreciate that fans get too worked up over fees and wages, but it's all Monopoly Money these days and there's no point trying to make "sense" of what happens imho!
