Just wondering if all the delays over transfers is because we need players but the players we need are now getting pricier, obviously we are now in the realms of having money and have to show we can balance the books, so we need to try and get the players for as low as possible and not just chuck money away, if we need 5 new additions then we can't just buy them all at 25million because like I've said the books won't balance, that's my thought on things, maybe I'm wrong, just a thought

Some of our targets are looking for champions league so we are not top of the queue which is why these targets will probably be signed late in the window if at all, and only if they don't get their first choice or opt to stay put. Its the downside of aiming high in the transfer market.

I said a few weeks ago that in order for us to attract players we needed to be attractive that means A. Fighting for something (that's gone) B. be in Europe (no) C. be in the top 6/ 7 (we are just) . C is the least attractive because at the moment with those above us playing as they are it does not look good for higher. Therefore the reality is we will have to pay the big fees and wages if we are serious about progress and strengthening, the alternative is to fill the side with stop-gaps and that would be silly. The end result is we will just have to be patient and let the Club do it's work.
