Ed002 made a comment earlier that a lot of our fans are ungrateful - and I completely agree.

Maybe its because I'm too young to remember our best years. My my earliest Everton memory is dad jumping around the house after barry Horne scored against Wimbledon. I don't remember the FA cup win properly. My Everton childhood consisted of players like Pistone, Gemmill and Gary Naysmith with Steve Watson finishing the season as top scorer.

If you'd told me then we would be spending 11mil on teenagers and 20+mil on french internationals from man utd I wouldn't have believed you.

For the first time in my 27 year life we are looking up as a club. We have a man who owns nearly half the club who has a proper plan of improving us as a club top to bottom. When you look at the likes Blackburn, Leeds, Charlton and Forest this is a remarkable thing in the world of football nowadays.

So I'm massively enjoying where we're going, even though there will be bumps, and am grateful that this is happening to my club. And taking longer than 2 weeks to sign Morgan Schneiderlin isn't going to change that

Southern feel a little sorry for you mate. I've been watching the blue boys side 1964, and in that time I've seen some wonderful players/ teams and it has to be said some dross. Still remember my first Wembley trip when we beat Wednesday after being two nil down. Even then my family were saying don't worry we will beat this lot.

1966 Woburnblue, I had joined up in June at the age of 16. Just come in from Jankers (always in trouble) heard it from one of the lads that had a weekend radio, made my day, even promised to be a good boy for a while.
