Hi Ed this Rooney talk will go and go into the summer now, it appears we put a bid in for him in Jan. looks like there is a debate going on among fans and it seems to be 50/ 50 as to wether he would improve the current team or not, personally I like Wayne as a player and he is a massive fan of Everton, but to have him back I just don't know cheers, GuernseyBlue.

Personally I would have him back, one for the vast amount of experience he would bring and two for the commercial aspect I also think he would push Barkley a bit more all that being said it has to be for the right money, he can't expect even a fraction of what he's on now so it comes down to if its about the football or the money for him. (oh and wether RM actually want him)

I am unsure too Guernsey Blue but something in my head says Barkley, rooney and Lukaku as our front 3 could be deadly.

For me Nothing about a deal for Rooney is appealing. I know he played for us a long time ago but if he isn't good enough for the teams above us then why is he good enough for us?
Put your heart to one side and think with your head and it just doesn't make sense. We need quality but mixed with next few years in mind. We can't be a nursing home for players who are no longer at their peak.
Rooney is the past. Davies, Barkley, Holgate and the ones to come through are the future.
