So Lukaku now saying he is not close to signing a new deal.
Am i the only one who thinks his agent is playing games, to keep the fans onside for the moment, when the reality is he fully intends to leave in the summer and get best deal for HIMSELF.
I know these things are complex but he was 99.99 percent before Xmas. Only a case of sorting a new wage and a release clause surely?

Someone, somewhere is playing games. I'm pointing fingers but his agent is no stranger to playing games.
{Ed002's Note - Try not to get to wrapped up in the various "clauses". What they want is a Termination Clause that does not over-price him for a move to a Champions League side. And also remember, players eventually become sick of being asked the same question over and over.}

also says he was smiling each time he was asked the question I have no doubt he will sign but it will have a large termination fee involved.

Is it natural that top players will be associated with all sorts of rumours and stories, its what sells papers. I agree with Ed if every time someone poked a microphone under his nose and repeated the same question over and over I would get bored of giving the same answer.
I would not get wrapped up in this at this point of the season.
