I don't understand this love affair many supporters have with Koeman - tactically inept ( playing 3 at the back again ) an obsession with buying midfielders - we sell a proven goalscorer but for some reason we have left it late to try and get a replacement ( Rooney / ramirez / lookman etc are not going to score the goals ) meanwhile we have Niasse who scores last year in the U23 and then for Hull in the league and then last week but koeman will not even consider giving the lad a go!

Mirallas signs a 3 or 5 year contract last year but the rumours are that he's off - I do not think the players are all totally buying into RK - he promises so much but delivers very little - the moans are already there in regards to travelling with the Europa league

A supporter of 45 years and tbh I do not feel we are actually improving - we have spent a lot of money for what - 7th place again if we are lucky and if we do not improve over the next few games I see a lot more pain.

I would love to have seen Moyesy have the money RK has been given - we would have been in the top 4.

First defeat this season and the floodgates have already opened.

This is not a buy your way to the top it's about building foundations for a big future 3 massive away games for a brand new team is a massive ask, yes it was poor first half and yes this time last year we would of crumbled to a 4 or 5 nil hiding, but calm down.
We're light upfront with not much outlet but come end of window Koeman will have his squad assembled we will have good and bad performances but more of the former ones that's for sure, slating players is not the answer.
Our net spend is just over 50m which is nothing in today's market but our squad is massively improved and more important our first team is, and we have not replaced Lukaku yet.

Agree NBTB first loss and the usual jumbo jumbo starts, this is shaping up to being our best squad in years and R K is not even finished it yet, more patience required.

Pavilion. Notes was given the same money at United and that didn't turn out too well. Look at the bigger picture, we lost 5-1 at Chelsea last season so a 2-0 loss albeit not great is an improvement. Same result against city and stoke as last season so with the Europa games on top I don't think we're far off last season. On the plus side if we only slightly improve on last season we will make top 6 as I am watching Liverpool v Arsenal and Arsenal loom terrible again.

Three tough away games in 6 days, main man in midfield suspended, plus injurys, and lack of match fitness sig and sandeors, yes it was a poor performance, but please let's look at it in context, however I do agree 3 at the back does not work, at least with the players we presently have there.

PAVILLION - what absolute nonsense! Koeman is a great manager for us! You think Moyes is better? i suggest that belief automatically invalidates any other points you make as you clearly do not know what you're talking about. Yes we lost to Chelsea, who else is going to win at the bridge? We have had 3 games in a week, the players are still settling and we are lacking a real forward to pose a threat against the big boys. Back 3 is not ideal but it allows the wing backs to really get forward and Baines is clearly enjoying it, i bet Coleman does too. If we get a more solid CB to slot in alongside Keane then it could very well work. We are a work in progress but i wouldn't change anything that has happened this summer.

Sorry guys I am normally a positive person but the first half today was woeful. Yes I know we have played three games in a short period of time, we have new players gelling and we have injuries but five at the back and two defensive midfielders allows good teams to play well up the field and the constant attacks inevitably end up in goals regardless of how well we defend. It's just lousy tactics and I just hope that we have seen the last of it. A loss is a loss regardless of how it happens so why not just have a go instead of endless defending.

Amazed. such negativity. Everton have just played split, in a hostile environment, man city away and last year's champions who were smarting following a first game blunder. and the knives are being sharpened. it's early days with new players bedding in, some departures and arrivals expected. not many teams in the top 6 are going to steam role Chelsea never mind Everton just yet. it's a project that the board are invested in. it takes time. tactics may be wrong ( I happen to agree there) but remember koeman is trying to figure out how he can use his existing squad accordingly against different opposition. give the guys a chance first. this is the same-sex manager that spanked man city at home last season and got his tactics right earlier this week!

Forgive the faux Pas. damn predictive text 😂.

Well said pavilion I do wish Moyes had had this sort of money but I am still optimistic but it will take time.

some fans are pathetic 1 loss in 7 4 goals conceded 2 of the toughest away games in the premiership played and your moaning Jesus give it a rest.

27 Aug 2017 23:17:33
Moyes and money don't mix, ask the United fans, he had it there and done nothing so stop blowing his trumpet, he was Mr Negative and even with money he would have went yo Chelsea and put 10 men behind the ball and lost, the same way he did at all the top clubs.
