By the looks of it, okaka spelling from Watford on loan and the young lad from split, but of a disappointing end if the rumours are true.

How's it disappointing exactly. When was the last time we ever brought in up to 15 players ( including U23 players) in one transfer window. We normally name one good signing and a couple of squad fillers. Pickford, Keane, Klaasen, Sigurdsson, Rooney, Cuco, Sandro all into first team. Just missing the target man. It's about players who play to Evertons strengths. The Watford lad may be just OK at Watford, but could hit the ground running at Everton. Let's see what's what at midnight on Thursday.

I didn't mean in anyway the transfer window has been disappointing, just we've been linked to some good strikers and now we are being linked to players who aren't good enough in teams that are lower in the league than us with a very poor record, we sold lukaku and haven't replaced him, keoman has said on many occasions his priority is to bring in a striker, we are now down to the last day and still nothing, roo at can't do it all on his own, sandro needs time, klaasson needs time, but we don't have time to bed all these players in and still finish top 4, we need someone who can guarantee goals while the others adjust, if we don't then we may struggle, at the moment our defence is playing fantastic and keeping us in the games.

Maybe now it's time to trust Walsh. He plucked Kante, Vardy and Mahrez from lower league obscurity and look how they turned out. He also got Gana for us from a team who had just been relegated and he's been a resounding success. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

That is rubbish, these players stood out from lower leagues, these player are not stand out players, there players who can't get a game in an inferior team, get your fact right, in that case why haven't we just said to Walsh go get all our players from the lower leagues, it's not that easy, we've had a whole summer to get someone in and now we are still trying, if we wanted carry, Giroud, welbeck we should of put bids in for them like we did in the beginning of the window, we are now down to desperate measures and to me all seems abit daft bringing in someone who is probably no better than naisse.

Have to agree Blue_heart, happy with all our business but we should have had a striker in at least a month ago. We knew we were losing Lukaku since March/ April.

I agree that it's not that easy to just find a gem, but nothing I said was factually incorrect. You can't tell me that being a 'stand out' player in a Ligue 2 side in France or in the Conference necessarily means something compared to a player who is on the bench at a Premier League team.

What Walsh does is notice specific attributes that will fit in to the style of play that Koeman wants. And as Dentie says, sometimes players work well with one particular team or manager's style of play. So although I am also sceptical of the likes of Okaka, until they prove me otherwise, I'm going to trust Walsh and Koeman and not judge a book by it's cover.

In order to maintain finishing even seventh we have had to make the signings we have, the money spent is irrelevant but at the current market rate.
At present the loss of Lukaku has left a huge hole we still need to fill, in so much of the goals we need to maintain scoring!
We have significantly improved at the back and in midfield.
I st think we need a striker, defender and wide creative player.

I don't see Everton finishing in the top 4 if I'm honest, you need that striker and even then I'd say you're a season or two behind, finishing above Tottenham and arsenal is plausible though so 5th, is say that's a good steady improvement and then go all out for the key striker next season and you'll be there, but this season without that striker I don't see t happening (still one day left though so fingers crossed).
