Everyone now slating our signings. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. How many on here were slagging off the signings before the season started? Klaassen was the 24-yr old captain of a team that got to the Europa final last year, playing some of the best football on the continent. He got a heroes welcome back at Ajax even after he'd left the club! Pickford, Lookman, Vlasic, Onyekuru, Sandro are all young players with tons of potential. Keane was picked for England while playing for Burnley. Schneiderlin was very well thought of by fans at both Southampton and Man U. Go back and read the posts on here when we were after Sig and when Rooney signed again -was anyone saying we'd made a load of big mistakes this summer? And we may well not have done. (Martina aside) These players are talented. They are not playing well, to put it politely, but in today's market we bought good young talent at the going rate or less. Everyone can see what the problem is. Let's not do the usual thing and scream insanely about how useless is everyone involved in running the club. They made a mistake appointing Koeman. I think there were two of us on here at the time saying that was a mistake.

COYB. I'll be honest I wanted RK. no longer, like you I think there is a wealth of talent. but some donkeys. Martina and Williams never in a million yes for me. I've never rated Williams. ever. but with right formation, and balance, I think we could have a very good starting 11. I think sandro, lookman, sigs and vilasic have tremendous potential for Everton. just not under rk.

I have been against Koeman from day one and the majority of his signings - I said the following:
Klassen to lightweight for the prem
sandro does not want to be here - rather AM as this was his first choice
Keane is too much like Stones
Rooney is too old and no legs hence why Man u got rid off
martina is garbage
Sigs is decent on his day but these are far and few
Gueyre / shneids are average players at best
Pickford would be the only shining light from the dross Koeman has bought
I would say out of the 200 million + he has spent in the 3 windows I would say 150 mill has been wasted.

Yeah I forgot about Gueye. And for the first time in living memory, we got nearly all of them in early. The signings are not the problem, although of course we should have got a striker. I was guilty of posting saying no way would we get that many new players in one window. This squad won't need to many changes to improve dramatically.

It's difficult to judge the new signings when morale is low, the tactics are awful and the whole team is playing poorly. I'll reserve judgement on individuals until the next manager comes in (because it's inevitable now isn't it? ) and our form improves. Then the poor players will stick out like a sore thumb. Gana and Schneiderlin were awesome last season and you don't become awful in the space of 4 months.
