Hi Ed all this business in the rags about R K having Giroud in the building, sour grapes for me mate if Giroud didn't work out why was it left to carry on plenty of time to get another striker, glad he's gone myself, team was an inspiration last night, we have a caretaker manager that knows what being a true Evertonian is really like.

{Ed002's Note - I am by no means convinsed DU is the solution.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Agree mate but a good no 2 for a top manager.

I like unsy and hope he does well but is he right for us at the stage we are.

He would be perfect if we were in a similar situation to when moyes took over but surely we have greater ambition than just staying in the league.

Maybe if he becomes number 2 to a quality manager and takes over when they eventually leave.

think you right Geoff mate.

Ditto Ed002. At least, as he did against Norwich when Martinez left, he (Unsworth) knew straight away the type of side and strategy that was needed given the Squad of players we had/ have. As GB, whoever the Club decide upon (if it is not Unsworth) they could do worse than appoint him assistant. What do you think of Dyche as the solution.

You may well be right Ed002 but it would be nice if DU does make the grade. What we don't want to happen is for another disastrous appointment. I have little confidence in the board (or whoever makes these decisions at Everton) after the last two managerial appointments. So for me Unsworth is the right person until we have done our homework in choosing the next permanent manager.

{Ed002's Note - As I said before, the club needs to take advice from a third party. I would fear that Moshiri will stick his oar in looking for a "name" manager.

Agreed ed. We need the best manager not biggest name.

Name one manager who knows that squad and youth better than Unsworth, if we get a top name manager, how many would play Kenny, Davies, Benigine and the likes, most top profile managers now have one of two things, old age or stepping stone until another club comes knocking.

We now have the chance to give Unsworth a go and gain experiance and build a team around youth and experiance, you also have a manager who if he succeeds will be here long term, you have a manager who will pick a player on form and not reputation, I have no doubt Williams will be sorted out with Unsworth either showing improvement or replaced.

Let’s not be too hasty trying to get someone in right away, give Unsworth a run of games.

I just hope Unsworth is still in charge come the Merseyside Derby.
