well Ed 025 just watched the first of two programmes on Panorama what a can of worms that has tuned up, this is one story that won't go away anytime soon mate, what's your take on it.

{Ed025's Note - i have not seen it yet GB but i will let you know tomorrow mate..

This has nothing to do with Everton. Does it matter where he got the money from to purchase Arsenal shares? Plus he no longer had any shares in Arsenal when he bought Everton because he'd sold them beforehand. Smells like someone with a grudge against Usmanov is just trying to stir the brown stuff.

{Ed001's Note - this has nothing to do with a grudge, don't be so childish. It is the leak of legal documents relating to tax havens offshore that has seen a number of dodgy deals come to light.

It has everything to do with Everton if Usmanov does own both as it opens up a very real possibility of match fixing, as well as other things such as dodgy transfers. That is why people are banned from owning two clubs in the first place.

Remember at the time of the takeover it was reported in Russian media as Usmanov buying Everton because that is who paid for it. Then ask yourself where Moshiri's 'wealth' came from? His original purchase of Arsenal shares, that he is supposed to have sold to Usmanov, was paid for by Usmanov. Possibly just in case he managed to acquire enough to require him to make a takeover bid under stock market rules, he could this way split it between 2 'owners' and so hold double the amount of shares. The only people who really know for sure are Moshiri and Usmanov but Moshiri's wealth is an unknown quantity. He was Usmanov's accountant that is all of a sudden referred to as a billionaire but he has not put any of his own money in anywhere. Everything bought by him has been paid for by Usmanov. Not that it is necessarily dodgy in itself, it could be just Usmanov buying gifts for a loyal hardworking employee and friend. However, they have not been open and honest about it all, which casts doubt on the motives and methods.

Just imagine the next time Arsenal need the points to make the top 4 and they face Everton and win comfortably, would you not be worried that Usmanov has exerted pressure? He is an Arsenal fan after all and could potentially own both clubs.}

He owns 30 percent of Arsenal, he owns nothing of Everton. Those are the facts. All I will say is that the Usmanov's of this World are very very clever people with extremely powerful friends. We need to be very careful indeed what we put down in writing. This and other pages of the same ilk are rumour pages, we are in very real danger with comments such as some I have read of bringing down very real harm to EFC.

Bigdunc. I think I share the same stance as you. makes an interesting read though. and I suspect that the f. a. may review the material.

06 Nov 2017 07:35:07
So Usmanov says to Moshiri, you have to lose. Moshiri tells Bill we have to lose. Bill tells Unsy we have to lose, and Unsy tells the team we have to lose. The team reply, easy boss we are good at doing that. Simple really when you think about it.

06 Nov 2017 08:09:08
If we're playing along here. it could be a case on someone 'carrying a knock' and a club doctor stating that they are still not fit. in any case it seems very elaborate. On a slightly different note. Why would a man worth £12bn, want to own a majority share in two clubs. and further do it secretly. it's not as if he could brag about his other club winning anything. Also if the other club was for other financial reasons. I'm sure there would be less high profile ways of achieving those financial goals. then again what do I know.

{Ed001's Note - to make money. Arsenal gives him a good return, Everton could do the same. If there is one thing a man with all that money wants it is more money.}

06 Nov 2017 08:33:17
Absolutely Ed. as I said 'what do I know'. you could say. that's why the man is worth £12bn! In any case, the proposed evidence does make an interesting read, and conjures all kinds of conspiracies.

{Ed001's Note - it won't come to anything though either way. The FA will sweep it under the carpet.}

06 Nov 2017 08:39:54
Ed, what could it all mean for Everton and arsenal IF the claims were true?

{Ed001's Note - honestly I don't think it will come to it but the worst case scenario is he has to sell one of the stakes.}

06 Nov 2017 09:29:57
Ed love the match fixing idea I've always thought there was some thing dodgy about the Arsenal fixture. I don't suppose you know any ManU or Reds owners in the same situation owning Everton shares it would certainly explain a lot!

{Ed001's Note - hahaha no mate. Though it would make sense of the way you performed at Anfield last time out.}

06 Nov 2017 12:02:48
My opinion Ed001 is just that an opinion. It's no more childish than your ludicrous suggestion that everyone at Everton would collude and deliberately throw a game.

{Ed001's Note - are you capable of reading? Or are you too busy trying to whine about how the whole world is colluding against you? So you think Panorama and the BBC are colluding against Everton but the suggestion Everton might collude with anyone is ludicrous? The fact you are too stupid to understand I was explaining why it is an issue, not suggesting it would happen says it all. You tinfoil hat is obviously too tight.}

06 Nov 2017 12:36:26
Resorting to insults eh. Pathetic. Well maybe you're the one who needs to learn to read. Did I say the BBC and Panorama were colluding against Everton? No I didn't. The first mention of any collusion was by you.

{Ed001's Note - really? So this someone with a grudge is what exactly? Apart from a figment of your imagination of course. Obviously you do not even understand what is being discussed or where the allegations are stemming from, so this is pointless. Try doing some research before spouting off ill formed opinions. As for pathetic, you have summed up your entire contribution very well there, thank you. Just go back to blaming this person with the grudge against Usmanov who has gone to all the trouble of creating millions of documents to be released about thousands of extremely wealthy individuals just so they can 'stir the brown stuff' with Usmanov. Documents that both Usmanov and Moshiri have admitted are real as well, but yes it is just someone with a grudge. Perhaps you should take the time to understand something before gobbing off about it and making yourself look ignorant.}

Apologies if this has been answered before, but what would happen then, if Leipzig finished 3rd in their CL group and Salzburg progressed through their EL group. There's a possibility that they could be drawn against one another.

I know that UEFA found that there was no breach in terms of ownership upon entering the CL, but it seems odd to say the least.

Is it to do with individual ownership as opposed to corporate ownership? I. e. there are a number of major shareholders within Red Bull, so they each would hold different interests as opposed to an individual being a major shareholder?

{Ed001's Note - I really don't know as they should not be allowed to compete in the same competition according to UEFA rules. I would assume one would have to drop out. At least if UEFA choose to apply their rules they would. It has yet to be put to the test.}

I watched the first part last night and from watching it my understanding is that moshiri was given the shares as a gift from employer to employee this being the case they are moshiris to do whatever he wants with and when he decided to sell he offered them to usmanov which he bought off him as he overall aim is to be the majority shareholder at Arsenal.

Moshiri then bought Everton and the fa have done all checks and he was given the all clear to go ahead with the purchase to me the programme made more out of it than was needed as involving a premiership club makes news which sort of backfired today as no major news outlet have reported anything on it to me it's a nothing story.
