Hey Ed 025 I am for one pleased that our Club is taking its time in appointing a new manager, get it right now, and we can move on from this awful period under Koeman. at the end of the day whoever the board and Mr Moshiri pick there will be so many posters on here with different views, you know the old saying you can't please all of the people all of the time, have faith.

{Ed025's Note - i am too GB its a massive decision and not one that should be taken lightly, we are talking about the future of our club here and diving in head first is the last thing we should do, if it takes a bit of time then so be it mate..just lets get it right..

Bang on Ed, when you read some of the ridiculous posts it just makes you think, you cannot rush this!

I agree GB. It is surprising how things can change in one weekend. From doom and gloom we move out of the bottom 3 and 6-7 points from the next 9 and who knows where we will be. The board believed when they appointed RK it was for the best. Only hindsight can now say it was maybe wrong. However I am sure they will take that experience forward when appointing our next manager. Whoever it is for me must fit the ambition of the board and the fans, and that is forwards and upwards, and not downwards and backwards.

Hi Nick yes mate totally agree and I was one of the posts in the beginning that really wanted Koeman, just shows how wrong one can be be mate cheers.

Fully agree GB mate.

09 Nov 2017 20:51:13
just wondering if they are waiting for the world cup qualifiers to finish, an international manager maybe.

09 Nov 2017 20:52:05
Hi Grumpy mate have you got over the excitement of Sundays win, sounded like you needed an easy day after that mate.

09 Nov 2017 21:44:17
I was so happy GB mate that I went out into my man-cave and made something with my new scroll saw.

Oh happy days.

Are we saying that Koeman's sacking was a spur of the moment decision and so the closing weeks of his time at the helm saw no contigency planning by the board? He was sacked and then they thought, "what now? ". Or was the sacking itself an action contigent on the team failing to meet benchmarks? If the latter then at least some preliminary work should have been done on a replacement even if only drawing up some type of profile. Are they making approaches to candidates now on the basis of, "We would like you to manage the club but only if David Unsworth turns out to be no good. Can you keep your phone switched on? " I'm sure Simeone et al are chafing at the bit for an offer like that.

I am guessing Glenn but i think the top brass were hoping game to game for an upturn in form but it just got to a point where enough was enough and a quick decision was made. seems feasible considering we didn't have anyone lined up. They probably thought Unsworth could come in short term and turn the team around which hasn't quite happened yet.

How did I manage to get a thumbs down for making something on my new scroll saw. Do people actually read posts before reacting or do they just see the author and automatically click.

Thats the problem of allowing idiots to participate, they never really know what it is they do or why they do it.

10 Nov 2017 16:28:46
theres nowt as queer as folk Grumpy mate.

10 Nov 2017 17:19:53
Koeman's demise ought not to have been an "enough is enough" deal. The exit light should have been flashing for at least the last 3 weeks of his reign and as soon as that was the case then spadework should have been the order of the day for the board. We cannot have an interim manager in the January window. There is an overwhelming case for a big spend on a centre forward. The kind of money required should not be entrusted to a caretaker and there is no way that I would want to see us settling for someone like Andy Carroll in the vain hope we might get as many as 10 games a season from him.

10 Nov 2017 18:31:06
Maybe Grumpy. The person has a phobia of scroll saws. Personally I like a good old jigsaw but nonetheless it wasn't me anyway.

10 Nov 2017 18:59:17
Maybe someone did not SCROLL down the messages and SAW it as a bad joke Grumpy :-)

10 Nov 2017 20:44:46
that's a saw point mate.
