Maybe the penalty save last night could turn out to be another turning point similar to the Adrian Heath goal down at Oxford in the 80s
Because last night in the 2nd half prior to the penalty save West Ham looked like the only team that we're going to score and based on games this season I reckon we would have caved in again
Let's hope we can kick on.

Going to sound really old and miserable now but here goes. We were not very good against a very poor side and yet won 4-0. Sam has an awful lot of work to do starting where he is best at the back. With two young lads in defence I can see the wisdom of putting a senior head in there but maybe Jags instead of Williams and of all things in this Universe surely there is a better alternative than that utter useless Martina. Rooney quite rightly not just for the goals was Man of the Match last night with Kenny a close second. Rooney though will find it impossible to play like that against the majority of sides in the Prem, big Sam needs to find his niche and tell him to stay there or there abouts. Siguurdson showed (just about) glimpses of what we know he can do and Calvert Llewelyn did okay for me although the lad is not a hold up striker that will almost certainly be addressed in January. Huddersfield next, now they will be a test.

Good post mate.

We haven’t been good end of whether it’s Palace Watford or whoever time to settle down and climb the table over to Big Sam with my blessing things looking up at Everton at last.

30 Nov 2017 10:48:51
No they really don’t mate. Are you Sammy Lee or something GuernseyBlue. Correct me if I’m wrong but your very much in the minority on this one mate. Lame desperate appointment that stinks of Moshiri and co.

30 Nov 2017 11:00:54
Game of opinions mate I just happen to think if Big Sam had not come, we were going down make no mistake we were in awful trouble nowhere to go except down its time forget who has come in to help our Great Club and get behind them I am finished with negativity.

30 Nov 2017 11:22:22
Would just like to add to my post above, A Big thank you to Mr Moshiri for investing in our Great Club, with out that we were down the Swanie with out a paddle.

30 Nov 2017 11:28:05
Very true and I do respect your opinion Guernsey but I believe the likes of the board and yourself were/ are hitting the panick button far to early. There’s still 24 games left of the season, 72 points! Take last night for example. My opinion is this appointment is a hell of a step backwards. I’m still trying to get my head around Sam Alladyce being in charge of our beloved club. It’s shocking and I for one am gutted.

30 Nov 2017 11:37:16
I really must be missing something here. Without Moshiri we finished 7th. We were far from down the swannie. Post Moshiri we’ve well over spent on players worth half there valuation, failed to replace a striker which we were all crying out for in the summer. It was blatantly the first thing we should of done and now we have Sam Alladyce in charge! Well we are most certainly on different pages Guernsey but as you say game of opinions.

30 Nov 2017 12:17:48
Cheers mate at the end of the day we both want what is best for Everton Football Club eh.

30 Nov 2017 13:34:36
Very much so Guernsey. Very much so.

30 Nov 2017 14:34:34
Good to see a respectful difference of opinion there boys!

I will support the club like I always have and will back them all the way, but - I do not agree with the recruitment of Allardyce and think he will take us backwards.

I know thing were starting to get a bit nervy and an appointment had to be made, but Big Sam? Really? Ask yourself this, what sort of player do yoou honestly think he will attract in January? I hope i am wrong, i really do.

30 Nov 2017 15:05:02
Who would you rate then Pierre mate that Koeman brought in, nobody really springs to mind does it, i still believe there will good players who will want to join Everton, if not for Sam but for Mr Moshiri and the way he has turned things around at Everton, remember where we were with Matinez so called top coach I don't think so.

30 Nov 2017 15:38:05
Big Sam has been appointed to get this club up to where it belongs and that is top 7/ 8 at least. That should be Sams targets with the players we have to come back and some money in January. If he can't get us from 13th to 7/ 8th then we have to let him go in the summer and bring someone else in.
