To all you moaners out there, With the amount of words you should be eating remember to save enough space for Christmas dinner.

Agree2 Disagree5

Nothing to moan about mate, as we keep saying we have the right man now at the helm, and his name for all the doubters on here is BIG SAM, and long may it last.

Spot on GB mate, spot on.

I don't mind but I'll save judgement on him over time. I'm not so easy to win over.

The results have improved but performances have not. Let's give him time to see what he can do and not be so eager to wipe his ass for him after a handful of games. Many made that mistake with Martinez and Koeman.

So far he's done what anyone would expect of a Sam team. Hard to beat and the long punt up top. He's now got to teach a team to play football.

Stay calm fellas.

Surely the performances have improved if the results have improved? The performances of the defence and midfield must have improved, had no improvements in performance from anyone or the team been made there would in fact be no change in results.

Depends on what you think a good performance is Swan. Personally not one shot on target is not a good performance. We had 25 shots against us which means the midfielder and defense were wasteful in possession. Defending is not just about blocking shots.

If the attacking part was better and we done the right things further forward the defense would not be the area we would be talking about every game.

He's got them defending properly but ball retention and our attacking play is going to be the real test of this management team.

SA has gone and done exactly what he was recruited for. He’s improved the area of greatest concern. Once he’s happy that this improvement is embedded in then no doubt he will move to make us more creative. If this needs time then I’m happy for him to take it.

After seeing what the special one is serving up at United I’m less inclined to complain about Allerdyce.

There’s no worse feeling that losing. He’s made it so I’ve not had to feel it recently.

{Ed025's Note - he certainly has ace..

BJU nobody is saying we are playing in a way that is pleasing to the eye but the final scores are pleasing to the ear.

In a few years time when people look back all they will see is we are getting points playing these top sides, they won't be interested in how many shots we had on target. Ok we had no shots on target but try and look at things in a positive light, a dangerous team had 25 shots against us and did not manage to score. That in itself shouts volumes.

Yesterday and also the game against the RS big Sam set out for us not to concede goals, It is difficult for us to lose when we don't concede, for the rest of this season I hope he does the same when we meet the big teams again and we walk away with points.

I think you guys are taking what I'm saying in the wrong way. I'm not being negative at all. I'm chuffed the defense is sorted out. However, unlike some on here I'm not satisfied with that. I want us to play football as well.

He's done exactly what we all expected. Now I want him to show he is more than what he's done with every other team and take us to the next level. Also, I'm not saying Sam can't do it. I'm just saying whoever it is managing us I want to see us improve in all areas not just in defense.

If you lot are happy with this and don't want to see improvement in our performances then what are doing supporting Everton? Palace, Bolton and Sunderland have plenty of seats available.

{Ed025's Note - i think we all want the same thing john, unfortunately rome was not built in a day and its not going to be an easy fix, stopping us losing was the first priority and up to now thats mission accomplished, now its onto phase 2 where our general play improves and then we can start to believe we can end up challenging the big boys, we all want to see dynamic football mate and hopefully that will come but we have to be patient..

Fully agree Ed025 mate.

Apologies to you BJU I may have been shooting from the hip and took your post the wrong way.

Have a good Christmas mate and best wishes also to you and your families over the festive season Ed025.

{Ed025's Note - you too grumpy mate..

24 Dec 2017 22:02:06
Totally agree ED. Patience is so important but it's been in short supply with Evertonians in recent years.

Plus we have too many that one minute support the team and manager then in one loss jump on their back calling for players out and sackings. For me this has been the biggest problem at our club for the past three years.

Anyway onwards and upwards. Same to you Grumpy hope everyone has a great Christmas.

{Ed025's Note - you too john mate..
