I don't get why people keep having a crack at Martina. He's not perfect but I watch him and I think he does alright. Like I said not perfect makes a mistake. But even Mr Perfect makes a mistake tonight. If you haven't guessed already I was talking about Pickford.
Finally Lookman gets a game. I've been banging on week in and week out. Where's Lookman. That's 2 games he's played and both games he's looked very very good indeed. Hopefully he's claimed his left wing. Bolasie on right. Sigs as number 10.

People have a crack at Martina because he is not very good. He is awful at RB and even worse at LB, his main problem is stamina. He can jump forward but cannot get back thus leaving us exposed. Lookman is a cracking little player but you cannot have him and Martina on the same flank. Currently apparently we do not have a alternative to Martina hence the reason Lookman does not get the gametime he deserves. Once Baines or A N Other of similar ability is in the LB position then you will see more of Lookman.

Ducks that is rubbish. Lookman don't get a game because Martina is Left Back utter nonsense. I think Lookman didn't get a game because he was a very forward attacking defence and Allerdyce didn't want that just yet as he's sorting the defence out.
I can't believe you think that low of Martina. You can't be watching the the right player. If anyone struggled getting back it was Bolasie.

Sorry correction not sure what happened there.
Meant to read Lookman is a very attacking PLAYER. And Allerdyce didn't want that just yet as he was sorting the defence out.
That's the only reason I can think of why Lookman wasn't getting his game.

Martina has come on a long way, he's barely a right back let alone a left back. Let's not make him a scape goat he's doing his best and there's been far worse performances by others than him.

I understand what you mean Ducksflysouth. If I was manager, I would not play the 2 of them on the same side. Lookman does look good sometimes. but he also has a tendancy to not get his head up and runs into defenders and loses the ball. (he will learn) . Martina as you rightly say is not the best footballer and although he works hard, he also has a tendancy to give the ball away. The 2 of them together are both slow at reacting and don't defend well enough. So yes I am with you and Lookman will have to wait until Baines or another LB is available.

I side with Mowfee and oll. For me he gives everything he has every game. He's not perfect or of the quality we want but what he does do is try his best every game. I wish some others like kev would do the same.
