I have watched with interest how well Michael Arteta has done at Manchester City. I like Pep's total football philosophy, but you have to have the players to implement it. henc past support fromme for John Stones. and yes I know he still has mistakes in him. but seeing as people seem to want more football than is currently being served up. how about Arteta as manager? He speaks about 101 lamguages and I am sure that is one reason he is in his role and that City have so many international players from different countris who can all seem to communicate. How about it Blues . what do you think? I think it would be a gamble and he might be expecting a bigger role ata Champions League club. but hee is an exceptionally intelligent bloke (qualified barister I believe) and like I say. so many languages and look at City. He must have learned a bit.

I’d have him in a heart beat. He was a wonderful player for us and a true gent when he left. He’s worked alongside the best and that can only be a good thing. As long as we have a capable DOF to support him then why not.

I will back you to the hilt with that one Degsy. He's an Everton man who will understand the club inside out.

Brilliant shout! 😉.

I agree gents. Only issue is lack of management experience but everyone got to start somewhere.

Better act fast. According to reports Arsenal are after him.

I like the idea, but can't help think it would be a massive risk.
Imagine him trying to teach Williams, keane and Martina total football.

You are right there Smit mate we need a proven manager if we are going to climb the heights of Mr Moshiri, s vision.

27 Feb 2018 14:27:03
He is a number 2 at city and in a comfortable position, not many make the transition to a Manager in the premier league, he needs like Unsworth to work his way to a top position.
We need an experienced manager not just a fire fighter or a caretaker but someone that can succeed and build the club.
This is where and I am sure the search is already on, the board must get good advice. I also like so many believe SW needs to go, I cannot see a real positive influence on our recruitment, it was just a job to big for him!

Absolutely mate, Arteta would need to start in the lower leagues.

why? why does he have to be good with oldham to be good in the prem? i bet jose pep and the likes would struggle in lower leagues as its a different game.
