"They will maybe have their eyes on that [Man City game], but Saturday is Saturday and they'll be thinking about the three points and we'll be thinking about the three points, "

"We can't hang on to the hope that they'll have one eye on a different game. We just need to win the game because it's been too long.

"I can only speak on behalf of ourselves and I'm going to say we are under pressure to win the game because I want that pressure, I want to win against Liverpool it's been too long. So bring the pressure on us and see where we'll go. "

"If you're not getting results then there's always going to be uncertainty, the only way to get rid of that is by getting results, " he added.

"The manager will be aware of that, us as players will be aware of that. We've had three managers this season, but we've still got the same bunch of players so us as individuals need to step up to the plate as well.

"The derby can change a lot, and if we win and get the confidence going into the rest of the season off that derby it'll be great and I'm really looking forward to it and really confident we can get all three points. "

- Seamus Coleman. Sounds more like an Everton manager than any we've had in the past 22 years. One day my son.

Totally agree BlueJohnUns. Really down to earth footballer. As rare as hens teeth nowadays.

I love Coleman and I would love it if Sam listened to the players but with ego he won't and he will play Schniderlin and Rooney deep if gueye isn't available or he will play 5 at the back and 3 holding mids as for Sam a he will take a draw as a win and talk about how free scoring Liverpool failed to beat us in the league under his management this is the first derby I can remember where I'm actually worried they will wipe the floor with us.

Spot on BLUEY. But the worst thing for me is that I’m the most apathetic I have ever been going into a derby. As much as I’m desperate for a win, I have that horrible thought of Sam taking credit for it all. Losing is the new norm for me in this fixture and I’m struggling to get up for it.

Can’t wait for the season to be over.

Sorry for the negs lads.

I understand Toffee. We need more people at the club in all areas like Coleman here. He won't accept second best and until we get that we will be.

Personally, i think this stems from the Moyes era. Hearing the knife at a gun fight comment tore everything we had done in over 125 years up into pieces and our reputation was destroyed in an instant.

Hopefully, with our next manager and beyond we will never have someone at our club that thinks like that again.

I think we are all a little bit worried about Saturday but Liverpool showed us last night that effort and positive attitude can work
Let's all of us show it and you never know.
