Have they sacked him yet?
Oh come on what are they waiting for?
The season is over. We may not even finish in the top ten, and are the dullest footballing team in the league.
Give the fans a break, something to hold on to, something to believe.
Or we could just plod on as we are I suppose.

he should be sacked but this is Everton and he will not be sacked til the summer.

What is to be gained by waiting?
Maybe the club hasn’t yet received a firm “yes” from the new DoF and new manager (first-team coach) they really want.
Does that mean - if we don’t secure those - that the club will make a pathetic “damp squib” announcement in the Summer that Walsh, Allardyce, etc., are staying?

We're virtually guaranteed Premier League next season. West Brom and Stoke can't catch us. If Southampton won all their last 5 games we only need 2 points to be above them. NOW is the time to start planning for next season and we need a new manager, new DOF and new players in several positions
Let's get started!

I think if Silva was in the running then Sam would have been sacked by now. It might mean that if Sam is to be sacked then the man we want his still in a job and therefore sacking Sam would gain nothing except for our sanity being restored.

I would suspect that once seasons are over then movement will be made. Brands sounds like a done deal for me. Saying it will be hard to leave are the right sound bites for his current employers but also not a dismissal of his potential new ones.

Fonseca too has not denied the fact he will probably leave Shaktar. Along with him wanting to manager over here and with little chance he will get the financial backing from anyone outside the top six then we may be his destination.

I suppose we just need to be patient and see what happens.

BlueJohnUs: it is strange that if Silva - who is clearly available and was tipped for it before Allardyce came in - was first choice, then why isn’t his appointment being more strongly rumoured in the media. Maybe Moshiri has cooled his interest (due to the influence of a super-agent? ) and is instead waiting for his current preference (Fonseca? ) to become officially available.
