Take the quite ridiculous personal comments out of the equation on Allardyce and from a neutral perspective he has over and above completed the brief given him. I too would like a change come the new Season but the big question is who? Sam was recruited because nobody else wanted the job. Considering where he started from, the bloke has got us comfortable in the top ten and looking good for 8th. Martinez was sacked (10 mill pocket money) with the Club in 11th. Koeman came in and took us to 7th, an absolutely stupid transfer Window, obvious recruitment missed and an abundance of No 10's later in the new season and we were languishing in 18th. Unsy takes us to 13th (big win over Hammers) and with a few hiccups Sam comes in and has us in the position we are now in. You can have all the pretty football you want but for me pretty without a result is meaningless. If it is 1-0 every game, then I am entertained. Football is a competition and physical not Sunday Night at the Palladium but if that is your thing, go for it.

I certainly do not want to see Sams style of football next season mate.

Of course there's nothing wrong with 'winning ugly' DFS, just mot ALL the time - which is Sams second objective after not losing. To use your analogy, would you be happy if you paid a lot of money for tickets to see Swan Lake and you were directed to Birkenhead Park?

Nice one Big H you summed that up great, have had enough of that negative footy.

I don’t mind 1-0 wins and bore draws, providing like other successful teams who do it, we are challenging in the top 6, getting into Europe, and stocking up our trophy cupboard. I am thankful for what SA has done but, he is not the man we want to achieve our ambitions. It makes me wonder just who on the board believes he is the man to achieve this or, is it a case of success means money spent and they don’t want to empty their pockets. Is Morishi being held back? Is it now time BK and co sold up and let him loose. All I do know is they have to take on board the feelings of the fans. While supporters will always attend, bad or low atmosphere can destroy. A club with no atmosphere dies.

had some nice times in Birkenhead. In fact having travelled and worked all over the World for an initial 11 years returned to the UK and met the love of my life in Birkenhead. We returned in 1991 and have rarely missed a home game since. Seen some crap from Everton in my time and believe me this stuff from the present lot under Sam does not even come close.

NickB57. Thought that a lot of BK and Elstone in the last few years, but have to be careful what is said, some interpret criticism as an afront on BK's legacy, they misunderstand.

same as that dfs mate, have watched the Blues since the early 1960s, great times.

Jose Mourinho won trophies playing negative at times but that's the difference he won trophies. He has a style not to dissimilar to SA but he uses attack as the first line of defence. He plays with 1 yes 1 defensive midfielder to help out his back line and then plays with 2 attack minded midfielders in front to complement the attack. We have been away to Swansea and Huddersfield and played with 2 defensive midfielders and an aging AM in Rooney, this is not the way forward. Next season if he remains in charge we will be found out and teams will commit more men in midfield and attack to address our numbers at the back, add to that we have aging CB we will struggle. We cannot hope to sign attack minded players who know that coming to a SA Everton means you won't get to play in the oppositions half, so what will we get? The same squad, the same team, the same tactics and a bigger struggle. If SA remains in charge we will stand still and others will move forward above us and those below will catch us making the gap to the bottom 3 closer to us.
