Well a loss or draw for us, and a win for Leicester on Saturday will see us in 9th place. Will the Sam lovers still be saying how well he has done? Will Sam still be boasting how well he has done? I remember not so long ago he targeted a european place and a cup win. My my how the mighty fall lol.

Agree4 Disagree4

this is the point the media miss, we shouldn't even be comparing ourselves to Leicester (all be it they have more recent success) but they got a manager in who steadied the ship and if they got eigth, it looks like he'll still be getting the boot.

Hope you are right wblue mate, I would take finishing 8th any day if it gets rid of Big Sam, and we can move onwards

Some people at our club seem satisfied with a top half finish this season.
The worry is that some people at our club would be satisfied with a top-half finish (and definitely not challenging the top, six) next season and beyond.
Have the club settled for mediocrity OR are they too afraid to risk aiming for the stars? If so, what’s the point? We know we’re not as good as several other teams at the moment, but surely we should genuinely aspire rather than fail with a whimper?
As long as a new DoF and new manager are taking us forward (alongside a new Chairman and new CEO? ) , then I’d tolerate a few seasons of gradual progression, but there has to be a clear plan (a vision, a target) for success that we can all buy into AND we can all see is getting nearer to fruition.

Good post Bobby mate.

Excellent post Bobby.

Booby C, I personally feel the current priority is attracting a manager who can build for the long term and to get the new ground underway. I’m sure majority of fans would be happy if the club can, during that period progress or at least keep close to a top 6 position in the short term. Say in 2 years, then looking for definite progress into the top bracket.

Good post Bobby. Can anyone honestly say they want to keep big Sam? I'm not a big Sam hater, I'm not a big Sam lover either but I will point one thing out in relation to your post above Bobby about finishing in the table.

Has anyone looked back at the poll that was done about six months ago on here asking posters to vote on our final position?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I have faith the people behind the club. They are trying to make this club better. Despite what us ordinary Joe soaps think. They are not perfected and like us all will make mistakes but at the end of the day they want success every bit as much as we do.

Why do people constantly point the finger and say they should of done this and should of done that. Very easy looking in. As I said hindsight is a wonderful thing. Again have a look at the poll about our finishing predictions back six months ago. Then have a wee think about the direction the club is going.

ha ha :-) I wonder if Sam ever believes what he is saying or does it just roll out from his brain.

He is the Peter Griffin (Family Guy) of football.
