Whoever we get as a manager, I Will give my 100% support, but could we please go for one with a track record of winning things, rather than yet another one with a track record for getting relegated from the prem.

Agree1 Disagree0

He has 1 relegation on his record and won more in other leagues. He doesn't exactly have a record of failure. Don't even think Pep, Wenger or Mourinho would of kept hull up.

Silva it is then?

Totally agree with you jcwblue. He's won trophys yes a cup in Portugal and a league in Greece where the football is that poor I reckon I'd get a game myself. The only thing we can judge him on is what he's done in the premier league where's sorry to say he's a proven failure.

As we say all to frequently, you can only beat what's in front of you. He won the Portugese cup with Portugese level resources and the Greek league with Greek level resources. His teams were at the level they were and he won trophies.
My support for any manager is contingent on him showing that there is a reasonable plan to improve the team in both results and performances. I think all fans can take set backs if they see that things are going in the right direction.

I am not a fan of Silva but I will support him as I supported Sam because whoever is manager we should support out team through the good and the bad.
This is at least for 75% of the season then we will see how the new manager is doing.
I do not expect miracles as long as we move in the right direction.

Silva took over a Hull team that was going so n and they went down. Benitez took over a Newcastle team that was going down and they went down. Not much difference from what I can see. Granted Benitez has managed at bigger clubs, but Madrid had all the money in the world and he was hardly strapped for cash at Liverpool. Silva's has success abroad with teams in more competitive leagues with a lesser budget. I’d take either.

I have to say it's slightly embarrassing for the people giving Silva grief for getting relegated with Hull.

Can anyone remember just how close he got them from being miles away? And some of the teams they faced? And beat?

If almost go so far as calling you clueless about football.
