Thinking of Hull's relegation under Silva is the same as thinking that Allardyce's time at Everton was a success, for me. Neither exist in a vacuum: On paper, SA finishing 8th and getting results is a positive, but we all know how dire the football was, and his off-field comments were arrogant and condescending towards both fan and player. Hull's relegation under Silva can't be forgotten, but take in to account how close he got to saving them, the negativity that surrounded the club, players available and I think he did as good a job as he could.

For me, Silva's eventual appointment will be exciting, with a justified degree of caution; that, teamed with Moshiri's ambition, Brands' know-howand lessons learnt from last Summer, will be great!

I agree with you Hugofc. He came very close to saving Hull and certainly got the best out of Niasse who scored goals for them. Watford were playing good football and I believe 5th in the league when we became interested. The rest we know is history. I strongly believe he will surprise a lot of people.

What he did at Hull was near on amazing.
Yeah the still went down but his results were incredible. The goals for was very good but unfortunately he ran out of games. Appointed too late. Only a fool could give him a hard time their.

Watford again for me were a club I picked for the drop. until I saw they got Silva. They had a pretty great start too. And he was clearly the next big thing all of a sudden.

Yes we approached and it's obvious it wasn't a welcome approach and maybe just maybe we will (deservedly? ) Be in hot water for it? But i bet a few others had a sniff too.

Who knows if he will be a major success? So long as he reinvents our status in football cos it's dire at the minute. Ex pros calling us arrogant for getting shot of a man who got us from trouble to 8th. It looks an easy argument. And in some respects maybe some have gone too far but we all saw it coming.

The new guy deserves support and patience.
We also have to remember that it's not all on the manager these days. FM BK and DOF are all responsible. Certainly for everything off the pitch.

Myteam, a fool! He won 7 lost 10. At 36 percent ratio no where near saving Hull. Look at Watford 30 percent. Those are the facts in the English Premier League. Our league is rightly described as the toughest in the World, surely our Managerial standards should be the same. Silva Sporting Lisbon something like 53 percent, what does that tell you compared with above.

Funnily enough, he nearly saved Hull whilst playing attractive football. Who knew both things could coexist.
