I do find it funny when people say "how dare Everton sack Allerdyce, he got them 8th".
It's ironic because these statements either come from: Sam's mates (IE Nolan and White etc) , or fans from smaller clubs who have never showed ambition. Or even worse when it's Arsenal fans doing it, I mean, a lot of them wanted Wenger out when he was finishing 4th, but we are being stupid for wanting a bit better than 8th whilst watching dire football. I believe we are 20th or something like that in terms of shots on target etc. I can't rememebr the exact stat.
I'm absolutely made up he's gone. Reeks of negativity and arrogance. I'll be happy with Marco Silva despite my prior posts, there is a slight sense of Martinez in him yes but when our only other option is Eddie Howe, who is basically the English Roberto Martinez only worse, then I suppose we can't complain.

Nolan had the cheek to say we shouldn't get rid of Sam but W'Ham were right to get rid of Moyes.

I hope the sacking does indeed improve our club. But as you and me discussed things many years ago. some of the signings made since Moyes have been quite terrible. I will at least thank Sam for signing Walcott and Tosun. even if he only played a minor role in them signing. As for his sacking. that was inevitable due to his mouth and the way he angered so many supporters. but the quality of football I think is down to the team. we will find out next season if a new manager improves it. I remembers saying to you about an ageing squad and our over reliance on Moyes defenders who were ageing. That is still the case and Jags, Baines and Coleman are still our best. oe were this season. We need 2 of those 3 immediately replaced and Coleman within 18 months probably. Good to see you back on tho Swan. Degsy.
